Claire Buss is a multi-genre author and poet based in the UK. She wanted to be Lois Lane when she grew up but work experience at her local paper was eye-opening. Instead, Claire went on to work in a variety of admin roles for over a decade but never felt quite at home. An avid reader, baker and Pinterest addict Claire won second place in the Barking and Dagenham Pen to Print writing competition in 2015 with her debut novel, The Gaia Effect, setting her writing career in motion.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2019This book offers vignettes of daily life and glimpses into the thoughts of a young woman. Her children, family life, personal feelings and places they visit all feature in this collection of poetry.
Some of the poems carry a kernel of a deeper truth that provoked more thought, while others skip through a scene, describing it in a way that leaves the reader nodding and smiling. In every case, it is easy to relate to the ideas expressed by the poet.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2019This was a prize in a contest. I have thoroughly enjoyed the poems. Light and fun. Filled with humor showing the lighter side of life. At the same time, Five Minutes speaks of the demands family and children make on you. There's a depth in the simpleness of these poems. The humor keeps it light and fun but the depth along with makes you think.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2019Little Book of Spring is a wonderful collection of poems about mum life and really, daily life. I could totally relate to "Ikea," having spent many hours there myself. The imagery in each poem brings you into it as if you were there with the author. Wonderful book!
