Review

This romantic fantasy by Sunita Saldhana is the first one that I have read in this genre. I loved the story and it makes me want to read more of the genre. This is also the first book by the author and I must say that she has flagged off her writing career with a bang. Looking forward to reading more by you, Sunita. Congratulations!Sundari Venkatraman Author

A beautiful journey through a fantasy world with love and curses around.
Sunita Saldhana has very beautifully penned the yearning of the lost love.
    Spoiler Alert***
The blurb never gave away the fantasy element. Nor the first part of the book as I read through. When it comes out it took me by surprise but a very nice and a beautiful surprise.
Have to give credit to Sunita for the way she has blended the fantasy world and contemporary world so smoothly.
A very beautiful journey of Shardul and Amber as their love courses through centuries. A quick and content read!

Love and Curses is an interesting take to Hindu mythology of reincarnation. The author has done justice by peeling the past in a rhythmic fashion. A quick recommended read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Eternal Love

Introducing a new book of Fantasy Romance and its review to you. Sunita Saldhana's 2nd book : Love & Curses is part of a Book Series: Eternal Love.
I am super glad I read Book 1 and waiting for the next book. Read the full review to know why :)

He has waited for a long time and cant risk missing this chance of reuniting with his soulmate.
But will Amber remember? It truly is a curse. He could not forget what she could not remember.

Oh this book brought out goosebumps all the time. Small book but keeps you on the edge of your seat at all times.
The air of suspense kills you. Deja vu or soul calling is so prevalent in each page makes you want to meet yours.

Sunita Saldhana has a knack for using plain, simple language to convey deep issues effortlessly. The emotions are portrayed in an infectious way. You will be bewildered, confused, sure of self, full of anguish, anger, love lorn, etc as the story progresses.

I loved the names of the characters first then how they grow with the story. Few characters but each has a good chunk in the story.

Liked how magic, karma, practical viewpoint, fantasy are mixed in equal proportions. The forward and back story flows without breaking the story thread.

The description of places along with people is perfect. My Thane, the Upwan lake, Yeour hills are exactly described. It was a dejavu for me in that sense :D

Sunita Saldhana has made the book as a stand alone as well as a Cliff hanger read. I am eager to read the next part.

4.0 out of 5 stars A magical love story

Reading this work of the author it's difficult to believe that it's their debut work.

Firstly, the cover is very intriguing with a tiger and a beautiful girl's image. To add to it the title builds up on the intrigue.
With an easy and flawless narration the author managed to keep me hooked on to the story till the end. It was a fast paced love story with an element of suspense and thrill in it.
This is a story of Amber and she has come to Mumbai to work and find her niche in life. She is a sweet girl with a focused mind on her goal until she meets Shardul. She has this constant feeling of knowing him despite the fact that she is sure she has never met him. Why this feeling then? To add to this there are many unexplained events happening in her life ....Just pick this book up and read it to find the reason!
Its so much different from the usual boy meets girl romance stories and that's what makes this story unique.

If you love to read love stories with a dash of thrill pick this one up .

Love and curses is a short romantic story with magic and mystery.

Love and curses is Sunita's debut novel and she has done a commendable job with this fast-paced story with the right amount of mystery and magic. Use of simple language, well-defined characters, and mention of local locales is an added advantage as it makes an instant connection to the reader.

I loved Sunita's narration style as she manages to hold the reader's curiosity and story's suspense till the very end.

Lovely and intriguing cover picture, simple use of language, reference of a local town makes an instant connection with any Mumbaikar; these are some of the plus points of the book.

Minus points, none, I would say as the story and writing is flawless and beautiful.

Love and curses is definitely a must read by all who believe in love and magic and even otherwise.

3.0 out of 5 stars Short and Nice Fantasy

Read a fantasy after ages, and must say Sunita’s book was a nice way to break that jinx. A short story, about love that has the yearning and patience of a lifetime, is a quick and nice read. It felt at times that the author has rushed through the plot and more could’ve been written about Shardul and Amber and how the events eventually unfold but if you look at it as a short read it fits well.

    Keep writing Sunita!

A sweet, paranormal romance. This short romance is a love story through the ages. Love knows know limits! Well written, with a shapeshifter twist Love & Curses is a blend of modern and traditional.
Set in present times but alluding to an ancient curse it is a fast read.
I look forward to the next book in the series.
