Lost Lust (Wanderlust Book 1) Kindle Edition
There is no way I’m letting another woman into my life. They’re trouble and heartbreak in a beautiful package.
Then why can’t I get a certain purple headed woman out of my mind? Damn it. I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t give someone the power to hurt me again. I certainly won’t let another woman be taken down by the curse on the men in my family.
I closed myself off, tricking myself into believing I was happy the way it was. I didn’t even know she would be able to pry open my heart so easily. Open is not a way anyone would describe me; gruff, grumpy, and aloof are more like it. Violet changed it all.
Now, how can I make her put down roots and stay? Did I realize what she means to me too late?
VIOLET
There’s always been an unsettled part of me. The part that wants to roam and be free. My mama called it wanderlust and made me promise I’d never leave.
With her death, freedom rushes through. Like most of my plans, this one doesn’t go quite the way I was hoping for. A broken-down car and a stretch of road somewhere in Texas means I need to see what right here has to offer. At least for a little while.
Adler changed it all. He makes that wanderlust feel like roots, but he pushes me away and locks me out. I knew when I saw him that he’s the one but maybe continuing my journey is best. For everyone.
But then…let’s just say that when a man like Adler puts his mind to something, he is a force of nature. He goes after my heart and for the first time I’m not lost, I’m found.
**18+. If you like alpha heroes and an insta-love story that is sweet but isn’t necessarily simple, then this is for you. This story is safe, no cheating, guaranteed HEA. This is a standalone and the first in the Wanderlust series.**

About the author

Ember Davis loves alpha heroes with a range of emotions, but a strong sense of how to take care of their women. She loves her heroines from all walks of life, just like her heroes, and she wants them to be real and relatable. Her heroines tend to be sassy, opinionated and smart.
Ember is a stay at home mom of two who recently refound her love of books and all things romance and is so glad that she did. She’s always been creative, but writing and creating stories that she would love to read satisfies the dreams she had as a little girl. She loves butterflies, the color purple and enjoying time with her family.
Pssst…it’s totally a pen name, but everything above is 100% true.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI throughly enjoyed this book and the characters. Wanderlust is something I understand and Ember Davis has woven it into a great story of searching for where a person belongs.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2021Format: KindleA case of wanderlust led Violet to leave her home town searching for somewhere she belonged. Her vehicle breaks down only two weeks into her journey and she feels things start to come into place. The moment she walks into the old bar in the small town, and sees the bartender/owner Adler, she knows she is home and can finally stop looking.
This was a wonderful story. I loved the characters. I loved that Violet knew that as soon as she saw Adler, he was The One. She had confidence in them, even when Adler refused to see what she did. Adler had feelings towards Violet, he just was stubborn about it because he believed that there was a curse on his family. I just love a grumpy hero, and Adler was definitely grumpy. I also really liked the side characters. They added a lot to the story. There were some super steamy scenes.
* Dual POV
* Steamy scenes
* HEA with epilogues

- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAd has had a rough go of things, then Violet sweeps into town like a woman on a mission. Call it insta-love, call it fate, call it crazy... but I call it perfect. You'll love the sweetness, hardness, dual POVs and HEAT, this will make you smile -- and maybe claim Ad as your new book boyfriend!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2021Format: KindleReading about the intense feelings in this book. I welcomed the trials, the emotional drama and the unexpected passion. The chemistry between the H and h is undeniable and unexpected. The past and doubts lead to a bit of wasted time. Connecting with the characters may come easy in this story, following the plot might not be

- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2021Format: KindleI LOVED this book and I LOVED Violet and Adler!!! Violet is the cutest thing! I love her positivity and determination. She’s instantly drawn to Adler, the brooding grouch of a man, when her car breaks down near the small town where he lives. His best friend Brick is another FAVORITE!! He’s hilarious and the talkative sunshine to Adler’s quiet storm cloud. I loved how Violet was drawn to Adler like a magnet and wanted to be the one to bring happiness back to his life. Adler fights it for a long time but it’s all kind of steamy when he finally gives in to his feelings. The end of this book is a perfect completion to the story!
