“Slowly I started to create my own characters and situation, creating a world of romance and happy endings to my liking. But for my laziness, I would have penned umpteen number of stories with unexpected people meeting and falling in love overcoming the troubles and tensions in their life and finally uniting for a lifetime. Penning the beautiful fairytale romances which we all dream about is what I love to do apart from penning few verses or poems on anything under the sun. “

A Passionate romantic who loves literature and has been driven by the romance in nature and the serenity and humbleness of this universe, one who made up her own happy endings in her imagination for every movie or every book with a sad ending.

Also a voracious reader but for which she believes she never could have started writing.

“ If I can bring a smile and a happy sigh on at least one person’s lips I will feel a blessed writer. “

A lazy writer, a nutty homemaker, an impish mother, an equally and absolutely lazy, nutty and impish wife. Now residing in Fate, Texas, USA and trying to check out the items in her bucket list one after the other. Pulls in her kids and her husband into her crazy list as well.

Ok Barbara Cartland fans… meet our desi Barbara Cartland…. Reshma Ranjan.:)

When I started this book, I had my reservations. I saw glimpses of dear Barb in this story. A certain degree of submissiveness and the cocksure Hero… (ahem!). l am not ashamed to say that I love BC.. but still, in todays world I would hate to see a submissive woman. Thankfully, Reshma diverted from that as the story progressed and brought out a heroine who in today’s world can say the word “no” like she meant it.

From the beginning of the story, a sense of pathos has been created. Ria is true BC kind of heroine in a modern avatar. She lost her fiancé in a freak accident that had left her with a broken heart. She found solace in an orphanage, where she met Mia, a new born orphan. Ria wanted to adopt her, but she had a contender for Mia’s affection in the form of Suraj. But Suraj was very sick and he offered to marry Ria – to provide a better future for both of them. Ria married Suraj and they had a good companionable relationship – till Suraj did not die. Now enters Suraj’s twin, Suhaan.

For the first time, Ria understands the chemistry she had been missing in her previous relationships. But Suhaan has a pre-conceived notion about her. He thought she had married his brother only for their money. Whereas his mind told him to stay away from her, but his heart sang another song and he was damn attracted to her. The feeling was mutual and they soon gave in to their basic insticts. But – they are related and the fear that the society won’t accept their relationship was always in her. It did not help tha Suhaan had a blow hot and blow cold attitude. She did not want to marry again for Mia. She wanted to fall in love and be loved. Would she get it from a man who seemed to be more sexually attracted to her and wanted to marry her only to overcome the hassles of adoption of Mia? She did what she had to do to save her dignity. She left him and ran away. Would Suhaan be able to find her? And would he finally realize that she is more than just Mia’s mom?

Identical twins and a beautiful heroine is a deadly combination for a romance. In her very first novel Author Reshma Ranjan has come up with a strong, sizzling story which will leave you wanting for more.

Ria is in dire need of support and she gets it from Suraj, who is a gentleman to the core. Suhaan is surprised aa well as livid when he finds out about their alliance and expects the worse. What he hadn't bargain for was the intense attraction he felt for his brother's wife.

The story progresses and has a old fashioned charm to it, reminding one about the historical romances of yesteryears. The Ria has a vulnerability around her and Suhaan is as dazzling as they come. I loved the build up of chemistry between the two.

A breezy, well written story to give one company on a rainy night.

This is a beautiful story executed very well by the author. I enjoyed reading Rias story and Suhaan was the best part of it although I would have wanted to know more about what kind of relationship she had with Suraj.
The author highlight the subtle things that add depth to the story making it a very good read.

Not as expected. The story line is too predictable.
