Matt Thompson takes a phone call from Nora Horton, principal of his son’s elementary school, reporting that his son, Jeremy, is suspended for fighting. Jeremy asserts to Matt that he was protecting his friend Tim from a bully, an older and bigger kid. Upset with Nora Horton and the stupidity of zero-tolerance policies, he believes Jeremy, but feels as though his hands are tied.

He fields a second call from Horton the next day, asking him to come and meet with her after hours, and reluctantly agrees, still furious with Horton. She reports to him that she was reliably told by an array of students and at least two teachers that Jeremy was telling the truth, indeed protecting his friend Tim, who has a prosthetic leg, from being mugged by the other boy. Matt isn’t entirely mollified, but Horton sends her secretary home, then tells him she will make amends, giving her surrender.

    When Matt gets a call from the school to pick up his son, he doesn’t know why, it appeared from the call he wasn’t hurt, and Jeremy didn’t fight. Knowing that Jeremy hasn’t been in trouble and doesn’t fight he made sure the Principal Horton knew how he felt about the suspension.
    Matt was surprised when Nora Horton called him for a meeting. Matt knew there was something about Nora that he was attracted to, but what he learnt he was never expecting.
    Matt had been looking for a submissive but hasn’t found one, his son is his priority and they didn’t always want a child in their lives. Matt can’t deny that Nora seems to be everything he’s been looking for and Nora admits she’s been missing having a Master.
    As always Lucas bring in the twists, the emotions and gives you the connection with the characters, another amazing read.

    As I do not know much about the BDSM. Lucas Black has done a great job creating a world to see. This is a very interesting read to see the life of a Dom and a Submissive relationship. Although this was at times hard for me to read and imagine going through myself it was a very intriguing and kept me reading because I needed to know how it all ended. The main characters amazing are very loving and wonderful people. Thanks for giving me a glimpse in this world.

    What can I say? This man knows how to tell an amazing story!!! He hooks you from the very beginning and takes you on an interesting and thrilling ride. Twists and turns keep you absolutely enthralled until you’re suddenly at the end and wanting more, so much more!

    Matt is a single father any girl would love to have as their own. Protective and loving of his young son, Jeremy, he goes to extremes to ensure his son is safe and raised right.

    Jeremy and his best buddy, Tim, were wrongfully suspended from school for fighting. Jeremy was merely defending Tim from a much older boy who was bullying Tim.

    So when principal Nora Horton calls Matt in to discuss his son’s suspension, the sparks fly, and not in a good way. Matt totally lets her have it and storms out of the office.

    But...when she calls Matt back into her office, sparks fly in a whole new way... 😉

    Oh! And Jeremy isn’t the only one to get suspended from school...

    But that’s an interesting twist of events you won’t want to miss! You must read this amazing story to find out how THAT suspension ends.

    I love reading Mr. Black’s books for many reasons but one of the biggest is because of how REAL his characters are. They have flaws, they have insecurities, they’re NOT perfect and they make mistakes. It’s us...just with a whole lot more variety, “spice” and very interesting bedroom antics in their lives. Well...at least more than what’s in my own! LOL

    I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author. 💜

    I am a fan of Lucas' writing so I was excited to read this book. He didn't disappoint!! From Chapter 1, I was in this small Texas town where everyone knows everyone. I met Matt who is a Dominant, caring and loving single dad. I couldn't help but have my heart melt over his son, Jeremy. I met Nora, the principal of the elementary school. A strict follows the rules lady. She learns rules have loop-holes and she ends up meeting Matt who rocks her world on so many levels. Life is constantly changing and you must learn to adapt to change. Did I mention there are some intense hot steamy scenes in this book?! Matt and Nora left me flushed and fanning my face many many times. Lucas, Thank you for another awesome awesome read!!

    Friggin Amazing story!!! This book grasped my attention from page one. I live the way that Lucas allows us to get to know the characters. For a bdsm book that is important to me, some kind of context and building on the trust between the partners, because that is what the lifestyle is built around. Lucas accomplished that wonderfully. Amazing story and I can not wait to read more!
