Jave Galt-Miller is a graphic novel author with eclectic tastes. Long interested in philosophy and the Golden Age of ancient Greece, he took a brief detour into zombie horror comedy. Thus the strange mix of Lesbian Zombies from Outer Space and The Trial of Socrates. The former series is as wild and zany as it sounds, while the latter attempts to explore the life of history’s most famous philosopher with drama and heart.

Husband, father, and producer on a court TV show you’ve probably heard of, Jave rounds it all out by bringing stories to life that he can’t find anywhere else. He plans for The Trial of Socrates to be just the tip of the iceberg for his POLIS series that will highlight characters in and around the Peloponnesian War.

This is a great compilation of the first four issues of the series. Ace is a dufus, but he's a lot of fun. What's really impressive is seeing his and Gwen's relationship grow over the series. It's a like a buddy movie with tits and blood! The added variant covers are fantastic. Though I'm afraid I might be sent to hell for enjoying the Issue 3 cover! You've got to check this out.

Its not perfect, so I couldn't justify five stars. But the art isn't bad and it is in color, the latter making it a rare find. If you have read Crossed you will notice similarities here, but this has more non-pc comedy. I have already recommended it to friends without having started on the second volume.

Super fun read! I don't usually read graphic novels, but this one kept me completely entertained. I can't wait to read the next one!

This was given to me by the author for a fair and honest review. NSFW!

As you can probably tell from the title, this was definitely not a book that normally falls within my wheelhouse. While described as a horror
comedy, Lesbian Zombies From Outer Space by Jave Galt-Miller definitely pushed the boundaries of my comfort zone, and yet I found myself open
to the possibilities of a comedic take on the horror genre, and seeing as this was my first graphic novel, I jumped at the chance to give this
a review. Here is they synopsis:

Get volume #1 of the NSFW zom-com horror series where flawed male fantasy becomes a nightmare! Includes Issues 1-4, each with the original cover,
as well as the R-rated Sexy Variant cover.

Ace just wants to film his buddy's threesome, but suddenly all the girls in town are transforming into lesbian zombies. And these girls are not
looking for brains. He'll have to team with an unlikely friend to run for his life and stop the funniest, sexiest apocalypse you've ever seen.

Sometimes when Hot Girls make out - it's Evil!

The the hijinks of Ace and the survivors of this zombie outbreak were definitely humorous, what really struck me was the way this series has
highlighted the often ridiculous male fantasies that they dream up, as well as the stupid stereotypes that the lesbian community is often labeled
with. The story does a great job of bringing these issues to light, while also touching on the horror genre often explored in cheesy, B-movie
    80's films.

The artwork is wonderfully drawn, and the story conjures up images of a mix of various 80's films, as if Weird Science and The Evil Dead were
combined into one giant film. While I would recommend this to my adult readers out there, I think it is a great addition to the horror comedy
genre, and so I hope you guys will pick up Vol 1 (Issues #1-4) of Lesbian Zombies From Outer Space by Jave Galt-Miller today!

I can honestly say I have never read anything like this before in my life. When I was asked to read it, I have to admit, I stared at the email for 10 minutes wondering if I should be like "Um, noooo" or take a chance on something new.

Glad I took a chance. But y'all, I am dead laughing. Also, I think my fiance is traumatized. I read this while he was by me and lets say, by the time he was curious what I was reading and looked, it had done gotten bloody... The look on his face was priceless. *rofl*

Anywho, this is not my kind of read at all, but it was still great. Lol. I thought the drawings were awesome and I thought the writing and the story line was interesting. It keeps you drawn in, even if that reason is "Who the hell comes up with this stuff!?" Not to mention the action was awesome... in more ways that one *manic laugh mwahahahha* XD (you'd have to read it to get it)

I really wouldn't call this a comic, but I would call it more of a graphic novel. That's just me though.
If you are well over 18 and looking for a rare interesting read, I would recommend this. lol

This is the first time I've read this genre since the comic books of the 80s. Interesting read, great artwork and can't wait to get down to the next installment.
