About the author

I’m a British author, brought up on the Isle of Wight and share my life with a handsome rescued Spanish Podenco called Markos.
I’ve had over one hundred books published, ranging from Regency romance, (my first love), to contemporary women’s fiction and marine crime mysteries.
When not writing I walk miles, make half-hearted attempts to retain flexibility by attending yoga classes, read other people’s tomes…oh, and I’m on a one woman mission to keep the wine trade profitable!

- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2019A well thought out plot with interesting dialogue between interesting characters. Some unnecessary language hence 4 stars vs. 5 but I love Wendy's writing style and enjoyed this book immensely.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2020I liked the story but the entire book is littered with annoying typos and wrong words. It was very distracting and by the end of the book I didn't care what happened to the characters. I've noticed this in some of Wendy Soliman's other books but never to this extent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner from Ms Soliman
Great plot, likable heroine and fun text. Brilliant. Keep it up. Recency novels written by British authors are so much better researched, like this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Strong Heroine
I really liked this book. The heroine was intelligent and bold. There were crossed threads in the plot and an obnoxious cousin and Aunt who constantly underestimated her. I think we could have spent more time, had more back story with the hero, and definitely a bit more romance and passion at the end, but still a good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
Very much enjoying this series. Adventure part was really exciting and kept me enthralled along with the romance which was nice and clean. Now on to volume 3.

3.0 out of 5 stars A quite pleasant book with some second-rate scoundrels!
The story was mildly interesting with a likable hero and heroine. The villainy was pretty tame! It would have helped if the author had not signposted one of the villains from the beginning of the book. There was no suspense whatsoever. He was not really punished despite having tried to do away with the heroine, and I did not feel she would have been quite so handy in a fight. She had a weak and ineffectual mother. That seems rather harsh on not very elderly ladies in general!
It passed the time.
