Does what happened in Vegas really stay in Vegas?
This was a feel good, cute romance that had a ton of steam. I have been enjoying this Country Love Collection where the author takes a Country Song and turns it into a book, this one is loosely based on Last Name by Carrie Underwood. Carrie Bishop and a few of her work friends know they are about to loose their jobs because of their hotel being taken over by a bigger corporation so they decide to head to Vegas to blow off some steam and have a little bit of fun while they can. Only Carrie gets separated from her friends and runs into a bit of trouble, this is where she meets James. Oh James, he would be the knight in shinning armor if this was a historical romance. I just loved the way he swooped in and not only helped her out of a bad situation but he went so far as to want to help her get to her friends safely and that is where the fun really started. If you read the blurb for the story you know Carrie was on a Scavenger Hunt with her friends and oh the fun things they had to do, it was great, I think I am going to make a list and have a ball the next time I'm in Vegas, only I wont be waking up married to someone I don't know like Carrie did. LOL Now imagine getting to work and heading into a meeting with your new boos who you know is going to fire you only to realize it JAMES who you not only are married to but who left you the morning after without a word. LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN! Dr. Rebecca Sharp did a great job with giving us two likable characters that had chemistry and yes there was some angst but it wasn't over the top. My only issue was that it was to short, I really wish the story was longer. I would have loved more. If you enjoy Vegas Mistaken Weddings, Contemporary Romances, or just a fun steamy read I would recommend this book to you. Happy Reading!!!
