Desciples MC Series - Lethal - Book #1
It's refreshing to read an MC story that actually reflects the MC lifestyle along with the romance. (Last one I read (not this author) was a joke.). There were a couple of minor typos or grammatical errors (like using plural when it should have been singular) but honestly, the story was so good and the errors so minor you easily over look them.
I loved this story. The MC lifestyle is reflected in the drug cooking and sales as well as the strip joints and bars owned by the MC and especially the goings on at the MC club house. Don't get me wrong it doesn't monopolize the story, but you get enough that your are emersed in the MC lifestyle. (Think Sons of Anarchy ... Loved that t.v. series!)
Be aware the h is taken as payment for a debt owed and there are times the H threatens, but...yes, there's a but....he does it mostly for two reasons (besides being an alpha male): 1. he has a reputation to uphold as MC Prez and 2. He knows it's the only way to control the h and keep her safe. He intends to bed her but not change his lifestyle..he's not a one woman kind of guy and he'll soon grow bored with her and move on like always.
The h is an innocent (virgin) but not so innocent. A poor carnival rat living in a beat up trailer with her sick, dying father and druggie brother. She lies, manipulates and shoplifters to get what she wants or needs because they have very little. She goes willing with the H for 2 reasons: 1. He agrees to pay for her father's care as long as she did what he asks of her and 2. She sees him as a means...someone to take care of her, provide safety and a place to live "as long as she doesn't fall in love with him it will be perfect". She just has to keep her wits about her.
They're both wrong. The h falls, but she's more of a manipulator than you realize. The H fights his feelings and takes longer to admit it, but he's no dummy either and knows more than you think. It's a fun and sometimes emotional read as these two play each other. Great characters with depth, including the secondary characters and I'm really looking forward to their stories in the next books in the series.

Addictive
Oh my... this book is truly addictive! I could not put it down, sadly sometimes I had to. This is one of those books where you could happily just keep reading and reading about these characters. I didn't want their story to end and now that I've reached the end.... I'm so ready for book two!! This is the first book I've read by Cassandra and she is now a favourite. I will read her other books as well. I loved the characters- and I loved the chemistry and the heat between Eve and Blade. Oh my! I love seeing the different sides to Blade when he became Jason. And I love reading from their point of views and seeing Blade discover himself to be maybe not as much of a bad guy as he thought. Eve is a strong character and it's hard not to love her. I loved their story and I know you will too! I think this book with have me hooked on MC books from now on.EmmaAddictive
