About the author

Jack is not only a writer but also an avid gamer and has even created a few games of his own back in his high school days. Most of these took place in his Mortaevum universe, whose central story was supposed to be told in an epic trilogy, the last of which was never fully released. It simply grew too big for one person alone. And since it was made over a span of 6+ years, its quality was also all over the place. He's still proud of what he's made, but spending any more time on games he couldn't even have sold just wasn't worth it in the end.
And that's the reason why most of these stories will now be resurrected in the form of novels, even if it means that the original scope of these experiences will never be fully realized. Turning a single book into a vast, non-linear experience would be somewhat difficult, after all. Jack does have other ideas that could eventually be turned into games, however. He just needs the time to actually focus on making games again, which might not happen until after the main story of his universe has finally been told. Especially since Jack has a tendency to get lost in his games instead of writing all day!
Apart from that, he likes to watch movies and TV shows, no matter the genre. They just need to have an interesting story to tell. Or at least be funny. Reading isn't quite so high up on the list, mostly because Jack prefers doing something on his computer instead of sitting down with a book. Although he does read a lot of visual novels, as the combination of voice acting, music and ambient sound effects can really elevate the experience in a way that a simple book never could. And he's not a fan of e-books either, as holding a real physical book in hand feels like an essential part of the overall experience.
