I have enjoyed reading these books. Often times stories get tedious with repetitious story plots. This series is a combination of old friend and entertaining plots that keep you reading. I had trouble putting this down. I can't wait for the next one.

Turning into a nice little series. However, when is all of this shipyard time going to improve the processing power and increase the effectiveness of the ship to perform offensively? It's not like they have a great deal of combat craft to launch....

If you're looking for a novel which tries to invent a set of alternate physics to explain the universe, look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you're looking for a fun read with unlikely heros, strong heroines, arch villains and dedicated alliances, you've come the right place.

There's a fun opening scenario, a decent plot and sacrifice. We have fighter pilots, star cruisers, carriers, proton cannons and time warps. What more could you ask for?

I do wish Tongue didn't call the naval ratings, "specialists." All the characters seem more American than anything else. I like it when the Russians are Russian, the Chinese are Chinese, etc. Still, they are fun. The space fighters also seem a lot more like F15's and Migs. If you can't handle stuff like this then look elsewhere. Why bring it up?

Because it's a good story in spite of some minor flaws. It's fun and worth a read.

Fine battle scenes, one after the other. Light plot and character development in between battle after battle. The battles are excellently told. Proof_reading is terrible. A fine author in need of better editorial support. Cover art is childish. I am still impressed with this author's ability to tell a good tale.

I'm kind of lost on the tech stuff. Hard to tell if the Lincoln has any advantage or not. Always seems to be getting kicked around pretty good. Not sure if I'll continue the story or not
