About the author

M. B. Feeney is an army brat who finally settled down in Birmingham, UK with her other half, two kids and a dog. She often procrastinates by listening to music of all genres and trying to get ‘just one more paragraph’ written on whichever WIP is open; she is also a serious doodler and chocoholic. Writing has been her one true love ever since she could spell, and publishing is the final culmination of her hard work and ambition.
Her publishing career began with two novellas, and she currently has multiple projects under way, in the hopes that her portfolio of what have been described as “everyday love stories for everyday people” will continue to grow. Always having something on the go can often lead to block which eventually gets dissolved by good music and an even better book.
Her main reason for writing is to not only give her readers enjoyment, but also to create a story and characters that stay with readers long after the book is finished, and possibly make someone stop and think “what if … ”

- Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2016This is a fantastic companion piece to It Started in Texas, Gage's reflections making me fall in love with him all over again.
The portrayal of the rock star is realistic - he was certainly no shrinking violet before he met the girl of his dreams, and we get to see more of that in this story. But it was clear from the moment he'd met her, he only had eyes for Charlie. The way he saw Charlie made the heart melt, while the importance he placed on his family - well that just made him all the more sexy.
Great read, with a wonderful new insight into one seriously hot bloke from across the pond.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2016Gage Weston was a womanizer with different women in different cities as his rock star life allowed him to be until one night in Houston where he would meet his match!
This is a great novella that looks at certain times from Gage's point of view from before meeting Charlotte to where he is now!
I really enjoyed this novella as we got a glimpse into Gage a bit deeper and saw the man he turned into when given the right woman!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2016In this story, we get inside Gage’s head. He reflects back on how Charlotte won his heart and he reveals things about himself – his very private life. We all know rock stars have lives off the stage. They have families, home bases and the likes. I loved how Gage’s dad called him ‘boy’. Gage is a true southern gent and adores his parents, who don’t cut him any slack just because he is a star. When he’s home, his momma calls upon him to do menial chores, which he does lovingly. I also loved how Gage fast forwards to the present and I don’t want to give spoilers, but he’s…he’s just so swoon worthy.
Oh man…so other many things about this book just grabbed my heart. I swear, you won’t regret one moment of reading this.
I will tell you that when Gage was having a private moment with Charlotte’s daughter Grace…and his analogy of moms being super heros with super powers. …Well, that made me love Gage Weston all the more.
Rock on Gage and Charlotte, for you’ve given MB Feeney such a brilliant cast of characters and I adored this love story!
**For some reason my review says it was from a paperback version, but I purchased and read it on my kindle...**
- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2016After absolutely falling in love with Gage Weston in It Started In Texas, I was so excited to hear that M B Feeney was writing a novella from his POV, and here it is!
This novella starts on one of the biggest days of Gage's life, which isn't immediately obvious what it is but that's a good thing... It then throws back to moments from the past starting from when he met Charlotte to how they got to where they are now - I really love the jumping from present to past and it all ties in well together.
We didn't get much of Gage's feelings in Texas as that was focussed on Charlotte so I'm glad that it's all him in this one, my Darlin' Gage ;)
M B's writing flows nicely and the dialogue between characters is enjoyable, with a few 'aww' and 'lol' moments.
A quick, easy 5* read, but you need to read Texas first and join the #proudlyricist gang! ;)
- Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2016One thing I LOVE about this book is getting the extra info about what Gage is/was thinking. He's such an incredible sweetie and I love when that comes through. M.B. Feeney very easily picks up the story right where it needs to be, filling in the the blanks and questions with the deftness that I expected from reading It Started In Texas.
This novella is exactly what I wanted and I absolutely loved it. I love the characters and the addition of more of the kids made this book just that much more fun. Great read and I can't wait for more from M.B. Feeney!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2016I enjoyed this novella very much, there were moments where the story got a bit slow but the pace was picked up quickly. It's nice to see things from the hero's point of view.
Gage is everything a woman looks for in a guy and just a bit more. Though this is an accompanying novella to "It Started In Texas" (and I highly recommend you start there) I did not feel lost. The story was easy to follow and the characters were awesome. I definitely recommend it and I will be checking out more books by this author.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2016Well written. Short and sweet!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2016This is a book that introduced me to a new author. And I am glad that I read this. This was a nice quick read, once you start this, you will find that you finished it in one sitting. It is a book that gives you a short story from the man's point of view about finding his true love. Gage and Charlotte's story goes around a man living the rock star life going through women on on the road, no regrets, not until Charlie enters his life. He even stops grabbing the occasional casual hook up with random women after meeting her. With the advice from friends and family he decides to stay in touch with her

5.0 out of 5 stars Devoured in one sitting
Sooo I finished the original book this evening, and with 1% on my kindle thought hell, let's start this one. It's just hit midnight and it was brilliant to see more of Charlotte and Gage. Excellent twist at the end and brilliant to see some of the key elements from his perspective. Super addition, and if you're reading this Ms Feeney, can we have more Charlotte and Gage sometime soon please? Even if it's another short like this!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tie up of loose ends
I love this little Novella, it was a short book and didn't take long to read but it was a great way to get the story from Gage's perspective and to find out what happened to Gage and Charlie in the end. Thoroughly recommend getting this book if you're going to read It Started in Texas. It brought it all to a nice finish although I could carry on reading about the Weston Family (blood and extended) forever, I loved their story. M.B. Feeney has done it again, I will definitely be checking out more of her books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this novella
Loved this novella, it gave you the insight into gage's mind and life before charlotte, how he womanised and was a love em and leave em type. It shows how when your heart falls for someone, there is nothing you can do but follow it.
If you have read It Started in Texas, then this is a must read, it's from Gage's POV, from before he met Charlotte to Present day on their wedding day.
This is an easy 5 star book, loved it!
