    Jace is Ex-SAS and now a Fortis operative. During his last mission, he and his team were captured by the Divine Watchers. His team is still missing. He is trying to come to terms with what was done to him while he was there captive but this has the potential to cost him the only woman he has ever loved, Lucy.  Jace also has a gift, the ability to read thoughts. Let's just say reading someone else's mind is not all it is cracked up to be.

    The anticipation has been crazy, wondering which direction Maddie would go with the story between Lucy and Jace.  I was not disappointed.  I love the banter throughout the story, believe me you will laugh. I love the characters and the personalities that go with them.

    Maddie Wade continues to spin a suspenseful tale of a crazy cult bent on world domination and the men and women who work to stop them. Fortis Security is not only a team of security experts and kickass operatives but also a group of men and women who are more than colleagues. They are people who trust each other with their lives, depend on each other and are like family not by blood but by choice.

    I confess I was very nervous at the start of Love Divided because of the way the previous book, Stolen Dreams ended. Lucy, who has been in love with Jace forever, and vice versa, overhears a conversation Jace has while on the phone. What she overhears is devastating. I did not know how Ms Wade was going to handle her hearing what she did and how her relationship with Jace would play out. I was concerned it would turn into something filled with drama and angst. So I'm happy to discover after reading the book that Ms Wade handled the situation between Jace and Lucy well. Lots of pain and emotion, but no unnecessary angst or drama. That's a win in my book!

    The thing I like about Ms Wade's couples and their relationships is you don't have to spend the better part of the book wondering - will they? won't they? It was wonderful to see how much Jace loved Lucy and how much Lucy loved Jace in return. It's no surprise since we already got a glimpse of it in the previous book. In Love Divided, I loved seeing them as a couple and being a couple. I loved the enthusiasm they had in falling into a relationship after waiting for each other for so long. Even with so much going on around them, the danger and the heartache, their joy in each other is a joy to see.

    While the focus of this story was Jace and Lucy, there's also the greater story arc of the Divine Watchers and what they are planning in their bid for world domination (crazy people!). Ms Wade continues to develop the story of the Divine Watchers and their plans, and she ups the ante in this story and further shows us a little of what they are intending to do. It's actually rather chilling and somewhat insane but then that's the case with cultists who have been brainwashed into a way of thinking. I do believe that there's something big coming and this is only just the beginning with what Ms Wade has planned for the series. The ending of Love Divided left me with more questions than answers as the Fortis team regroup and shore up their resources for more danger to come. Now I'm hanging out for the next book and Ms Wade needs to write faster!!

    I must congratulate Ms Wade because for this being only her third book, she has created a gripping and engaging series which has me wanting the next book the moment I've finished the one I'm reading.     Lucy has always loved Jace as an adult but they have never acted on it till recently. When they finally came together she discovered what he went through while his team was missing. Determined to end it all and get her ling lost sister things happened a lot of action sadness and secrets reveled. Hopefully they will get past this.

    Love Divided is the third installment in the Fortis Security series by Maddie Wade, in which Ms. Wade exhibits marvelous growth as an author. If you weren't hooked on the series before...this is the book that will accomplish that. The members of The Bennett family, Colin, Dane, Lizzie, Lucy, Mateo, and Lauren connect beautifully with the readers by the humble way of exposing their conflicting feelings of fear, inadequacy and familial love. Dane, Lizzie and Lucy are a beautiful tribute to siblinghood.
    Jace and Lucy are wonderful characters as individuals, operatives, and as a couple, they sync perfectly. Without a doubt, Lucy Bennett earned being the center of the story.
    I enjoyed visiting with old characters as well as the addition of the Zenobi team. The Divine Watchers are still strong despite some of the victories by The Fortis. And they, The Watchers, just set in motion a plan that is going to shake The Fortis to the very core.
    Love Divided has twists, twists and more twists that will leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more.

Thank god this series is over already as I am plowing through the books and know at least smithie has book. And that Liam has a book in the Eidolon series!

    Love Divided is the third book in the Fortis Security series and for me the most exciting so far!

    The series continues with Lucy and Jace's story. These guys have been in love forever, but neither one being brave enough to tell the other. Lucy is a sassy, strong, kick ass chick so it was only fitting that she would have a story that not only included the sexy, skilled and deadly Jace, but also placed her in the thick of the action packed storyline.

    The Divine Watchers are ramping up their plans in this book and are determined to to reach their end goal and in doing so Lucy has to face some demons from her past, Jace walks beside her, supporting her as best he can but he too has some shocking revelations.

    This book had twists and turns, some great fight action and a beautiful love story, Maddie clearly adores these characters and it shows in her writing.

    It was also great to get to know more about the other members of the Fortis crew, and I'm looking forward to reading many more books in this series (Ava and Zack)!

    Congratulations Maddie Wade, I truly enjoyed this book, I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't sought out Maddie's work.....The series should be read in order though.
