Love Unscripted: Unscripted Duet One (Laketon 2.0) Kindle Edition
For years, we’ve been happily married, living the life I imagined as a young girl. Love, marriage, the kids in the baby carriage. With Junior, I’ve got it all.
Such isn’t the case for my twin brother. When he and his wife ask me to be their surrogate, I readily agree. Without so much as a thought to what it could do to my family, it’s the least I can do to provide this child they so desperately want.
Sometimes love is solid. Other times, nothing comes easy.
When complications arise, I can only hope my fairy tale life still ends in happily ever after.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2019This is a wonderful story about sibling love in addition to the Hero and heroine. I don’t know if I could have made the same selfless decision that Emmy makes for her brother. I would like to think I would. This is always the first time I’ve read a book that is written in three POVs. I wasn’t sure how that would go, but worked great. I can’t wait for the next one to see the dramatic conclusion.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2021Another good story about believable and likable characters. I have enjoyed reading this story and I look forward to reading more.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2019What an amazing book to start this duet. I'm in awe at all the emotions I experienced reading this book...from the highs to the lows. The characters in this story resonate off the pages and make you really want to know them. I am a total fan of this author's work and eagerly move on to the next book!

When Junior meets Emmy at the bar he works at it was love a first sight . He has been there for her in the good times and the bad times . Now they are asked to do the ultimate thing for her brother and sister n law . Now things are growing and in between morning sickness and the trials of their youngest daughter. Will Junior and Emmy survive the onslaught .
The characters in this book are written well and you will like them . The family is very close and love being with each other . Junior is a good guy who at first wanted to have fun but he grows up and becomes a really good guy . He is a great father and husband and best friend . Emmy is sweet and she is the only girl in the family . She kind of drove me a little bit crazy she tries to keep up with the guys and ends up drunk a few times . The family is the kind of family you want they defend each other and are there when things go bad to pick you up and dust you off . This is a wacky fun loving family , you will want to be a part of it .
This is a sweet read and a fast read , you can read it in an evening . The characters are fun to read. This is an instant love romance and they go from meeting to married and kids . The story is also a bit of real life that goes on about one couple not being able to have children and surrogate situation and all the pitfalls that go along with that . I really liked this story but there are parts of the story that I felt that just were choppy and some of the chapters just felt like there was something missing . Over all i did like the story and where the author was taking us . I am going to say there is a shocking cliff hanger at the end of this book and you will want to dive into the second book right away . This would be a great book to read with a glass of wine and a cozy blanket . So check it out if you love intsa love and family hilariousness .
- Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2019There are no limits on what generations of love and kindness can accomplish. With a village of loved one's live can be a dream. Humanity has it's faults and weaknesses. The strength of teamwork and empathy can still maintain the simple priceless treasures.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2019An epic love story of quick love, devotion and a mom who is a HOT mess. This story will make you laugh, cry and want to hug your loved ones.
This author has slayed me. In a really, amazing way. She has taken a family, full of variety, love and dedication and actively involved me with them. The way the characters love hard - and will do anything for family - hooked me from the beginning. I am in awe of her detailed behind the scenes thoughts of the characters. The plot was one that kept you actively paying attention and involved. It is a piece of writing that will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions and leaves you hanging (yes, there’s a cliffhanger!!). Amazing job by this author!
Emma and Junior - your picture of quick love that will last a lifetime. Together, they are truly amazing. The support, love, put up with craziness, and just love each other regardless. Add in her twin, brothers, cousins, and all the family and you have one crazy, fun-filled story of the Abbott family and their extended family. It’s amazing and inspiring!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2019Woah! This book really got to me. Let me start off by saying this is my first book by this author. It won’t be my last.
Yes, this is a duet book. It did end on a cliff hanger. For some reason I was unprepared for the way it ended. Duh! It’s a duet! Even though I was expecting a surprise I was not expecting the surprise I got or didn’t get. Who knows? That’s why it’s a cliff hanger.
Here’s the thing, the best part for me in this book is that it’s a totally relatable story. It involves a family and then some. The book relays real family issues. Not everyone or everyday is rosy. They don’t all sing Kumbya and get along, They love one another for the most part but their issues are real and they are interesting, complex and very diverse. They have jealousies and insecurities, and so on and so on. Like I said they are real. The main subjects of the story are Junior and Emmy and their very complicated life. Within this book we are let into the lives mainly of Emmy’s family. I feel if I had read the first few books I would’ve been better equipped to relate more to their stories. If not then that is the only area I would’ve liked more background on.
As far as the feels, well this book provides them all. You will laugh, cry, smile, get butterflies, get angry and may even use some colorful language as to one of them. You will also get the heat, really good heat! You will be romanced by this book and that is worth the price alone. Sometimes, a simple look or an I love you can bring you to your knees when you red it in the correct context.
Junior and Emmy have what I would call true love. They have each other’s back but they have their bad days. They have problems out of their control and need to communicate. Even though this is an everyday life story it held my attention and interest. Thereby, showing us that life does change on a dime. We should always be ready to expect the unexpected.
The secondary characters in this story are as important to this book as the main characters.
I don’t do spoilers. I feel it is unfair to the author. You can read the blurb and reviews to make your decision.
As you can tell by my review I throughly enjoyed this read. I can’t wait for the next part of this duet.
You may not be a new author but you are a new author to me and to this I say, “Bravo, job well done”.
