Love to Hate You: A Small Town Enemies-to-Lovers Romance (Hope Valley Book 9) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 2,338 ratings

After her husband left her for her best friend, Hayden Young moved to Hope Valley looking for a fresh start for her and her daughter. The last thing she expected was to run into the man who had rocked her world in the middle of the wine section of the local grocery store. And no matter how many times she tells herself she hates the egotistical jerk, she can’t stop the tingle she feels every time she looks at him.

Micah Langford was a man who enjoyed variety. He had absolutely no interest in finding one woman and settling down. Then a one-night-stand from his past—and the best sex of his life—came rolling into town, and the self-proclaimed bachelor started wanting more. The only problem is, she can’t stand the sight of him.

When hate gives way to fire, igniting a passion neither of them can deny, Micah finds himself thinking about the future—or more specifically, how he can fit Hayden into his. But when a case he’s working on heats up, and she starts asking questions he can’t answer, Hayden has a decision to make. She can either take a leap and put her trust in him, or she can let the secrets destroy them.

A lovers-to-enemies and then back to lovers, delight!
After divorcing her cheating ex-husband, Hayden Young does something she has never done before... hooks up with a hunky dude she will never see again... or so she thinks... Micah Langford can't stop thinking about his night with Hayden, but the last thing he expects is for her to show up in his town, and the attitude she throws his way when he confronts her about it... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Love to Hate You was a delectable, friction laden, lovers-to-enemies and then back to lovers, delight! Hayden and Micah's sexual tension and animosity toward each other was wildly entertaining and a steamy good time!  After her recent divorce, Hayden decides to start over in Hope Valley, along with her adorable daughter, Ivy. After she shared a night with Micah and expected to never see him again, imagine her surprise when she does... and he is a total jerk to her. So, she throws him some attitude and hopes to avoid him forever... too bad for her, Hope Valley can be the smallest of small towns... Micah is a police officer, a good friend, and a well-known bachelor in Hope Valley. With his minor alpha tendencies and his desire for Hayden only intensifying, he makes it known that he doesn't care if she hates him... as long as she keeps expressing that intensity she has for him, in and out of the bedroom.  This book was an incredibly sexy and fun read! Hayden and Micah's relationship was entertaining and spicy, and I absolutely loved the dynamic that Ivy, Hayden's precocious daughter adds to the story. She was one of my favorite fictional kids, ever! With a plot that doesn't run short on the drama, but didn't overshadow the growing connection between Hayden and Micah, this book flowed like a dream and kept me glued to it's pages. The Hope Valley series just keeps getting better and better! Every book is fresh and entertaining, and I just can't express enough about how much I enjoy every single character that comes out of this town and the everlasting friendships they form along the way!  I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

When one night of hot and steamy comes back around to the here and now. This book was so awesome. Several times I laughed out loud which was embarrassing when I was reading around others. This was a great enemies to lovers romance. Micah and Hayden had some hilarious banter. I found the plot interesting and loved the development of their relationship.

When Hayden moved to Hope Valley to take over her aunt’s flower shop and get a fresh start, the last person she thought she’d run into was the one night stand who rocked her world a few weeks ago. Similarly, Micah never expected to see Hayden again. They both reacted poorly, and spent weeks “hating” each other. But that all comes to a head when Micah calls Hayden out with some hard truths that change the way she views herself.

When Micah and Hayden finally come together again it is hot and firey. But once they get that out of their systems, they find the sweet side of each other. I loved how Hayden’s daughter Ivy helped them see different sides of each other. Her relationship with Micah was so sweet and funny. Ivy had Micah’s number from the beginning and didn’t hold back from claiming “Mike” as her best friend.

I loved the pacing of this book and the progression of Hayden and Micah’s relationship. I loved the hints about the next book and the found family in the community. Hayden was a great addition to the girl gang and I loved that McKenna played a bigger role as a secondary character.

This was a fast paced and exciting book. It started where the last book left off with the investigation into the Callo murder and ended in a great place for Charlie and Dalton to start their love story.

I’m an addict! It has to be the only explanation, because no matter who the hero and heroine are, they capture my heart when Jessica Prince writes them. Every Hope Valley book has all the feels, exceptional characters, and the sensual deliciousness that sends tingles to your toes.

And Love to Hate You was no exception. Yes, you will fall in love with the heroine. Yes, you will be jealous of Hayden because of Micah’s all-round yumminess. Yes, you will want to cuddle the gorgeous Ivy, and sit around and chat with the effusive and wise Sylvia. But it’s the other women of Hope Valley that I can’t seem to get enough of.

Because in a world of chaos and judgement, these strong and mighty women heal hearts as they love up every new girl into their much-loved town. Every time.

These books are more than just feel-good, witty, deeply moving, sexy-schmexy stories. These books, these characters, are so well written, so full of hope and acceptance, that you just want to move there. I admit I want to devour the eye candy. Seriously, I have a crush on every hero! But I want to live in a world where friendships run deep and honest. Where women are consistently kind and generous with their hearts.

So if that sounds like a world you want to live in for a few hours too, grab Jessica Prince’s books and saturate yourself in kindness and steamy.

Cheers to Micah & Hayden! This was a fantastic & enjoyable story from page 1. I really loved both our main characters - and Ivy, and Sylvia. Micah is alpha, growly goodness - once he stakes his claim, look out! Things move fast! And Hayden ... she doesn't just let Micah railroad her. She has lots of sass which she has inherited from her great aunt, and passed down to her daughter. Ivy & Sylvia are a RIOT! Ivy's got a little bit of hustler in her. *grin*

We get to catch up w/ the Hope Valley crew. We get to laugh & gasp & tear up & did I mention laugh? I love the friendships Hayden forms w/ the other women in this community.

There's a bit of drama, some steam, and all of the beautiful writing that makes Hope Valley a place I hope we get to visit over & over again well into the future!!

Oh I absolutely adored Micah and Hayden. I loved little Ivy and how she has Micah wrapped around her finger! He is so besotted with Haydens daughter. The love story of Micah and Hayden was fantastic and the steamy parts, OMG! A 5 star read and highly recommend this book! I can't wait for the next one!

Micah and Hadley are absolute perfection! He was perfect for her! I wouldn’t mind reading about them again in the future.

The way he loved every ounce of her fire. She was is safe place from the world. The chemistry between these two was immediate! I also loved how sweet Micah‘s relationship with Ivy was. Besties for life!

All of the tropes found in this book are like crack to me. So it’s no surprise that I devoured this in one sitting!

I have enjoyed this whole series and was really looking forward to this book. Right from the beginning the vulgar language was excessive between the adults. But then Micah also talked like that around children, and when talking directly to Ivy. A swear word here and there for effect is one thing. Using them in every other sentence is distracting and uncomfortable.

Book 9 and I think I’ve finally found my favourite alpha of the series - well so far, that could change if Hunter has his own book 😉 Micah was just perfect. I loved his relationship with Hayden - even if she has my man 😂 but his relationship with Ivy 😍 could make a girls heart melt.

Books has plenty of page turning drama and lots of emotions to keep the reader hooked. Loved it, and I love the way the author always sets you up for the next couple. Charlie and Dalton’s story is gonna be wild!!

Was left wondering if Sidney Callo will get a HEA, maybe she would be a great fit for Hunter, that would make me so happy, fingers crossed for both of them. Great book highly recommend it, and the whole series.
