    I will say that I was a little confused when I started this series after reading the prequel. I thought this book would continue with Liz and Tavey. But I still liked this story and I really liked the pace of this book, I felt like everything didn’t happen in one week like some other books make you feel like. Zana made sure to mention a time line throughout the book, for example, few days, few weeks, etc so to me the timeline felt more realistic. I really enjoyed the characters, each one was different and I felt I wanted to learn more and more about them. I liked that this series isn’t your normal and average shifter story. You get more then just a wolf shift out of this story. I like that in this series the main focus doesn't mainly rely on the relationship, but also on the other troubles that surround them. This book does end on a cliffhanger, but it also is just enough that you wont throw your book across the room but it will definitely have you interested in the next book.

    A novel take on the mechanics of werewolves, witches and other magical creatures. The author injects some interesting new ideas into the classical paranormal romance category, and the second half of the book lays out a compelling plot that I look forward to seeing where it goes. The character development and initial worldbuilding are a little lacking at first, rushing headlong from shocking revelation to shocking revelation as a way to lay the groundwork for the characters, who then behave as though the new information was central to their character all along... Maybe needs to slow down a little and build out the universe where the plot is occurring a bit. Also, as others have mentioned, the naughty bits are almost jarringly BDSM-heavy, moving from foreplay to near- (or actual-) violence in the span of only a paragraph or two. But that isn't terribly unusual with this genre...

    Overall, I think the characters and plot lay a solid foundation for this new paranormal world, and I'll follow the sequel(s) to see where this one goes!

    Luna Ascending really captured my attention by throwing me right into the action. I love reading stories about ordinary humans who find out they're not so ordinary after all. The main love interest needs to mature a bit, so hopefully that will happen in the second book. Looking forward to finding out how this duet concludes.

    Aaron is a peice of work. He is a true alpha. Freya is too sweet for her own good. Liz is a little scandalous. Aurora is in trouble. Marc is a little too clingy. Freyas migranes are terrible! But it's not what you think! Freya did what? Marc is apart of it? Tavey is what! You never put your hands on a woman. YES FREYA! This is too much! Meet the family moments are to die for! LIZ! Freya keeps surprising us all. Rennard? Morganna is insane. They have it! Aaron you didn't!

    This story had me hooked from the moment I started reading. The action was intense and all the love stories were sweet. I read this in one day! I just couldn't put it down. Easy five stars!

    I was immediately drawn into the story, loving all things supernatural anyway. There was humour, tension and a bit of steam. Besides who doesn't want two hot guys fighting for them?!

    The only thing negative I would say is the sexu@l abuse, r@pe scene approx half way through really knocked me, I hadn't been expecting it and I didn't like it but I decided to power on past it and I'm glad I did as I did enjoy the story overall. I just wish I'd had a trigger warning to prepare me and that the issues had been dealt with more rather than just brushed past(the only reason its getting a 4 star and not a 5).

    Left me desperately wanting more, such a cliffhanger, can't wait for the next installment of the series....

After a series of strange happenings, power surges, chandeliers shattering, people surrounding her suddenly in pain, Freya starts to wonder if she is the cause especially when she is angry, jealous or frustrated. She has been told that she is a witch... Could this be true?
    The story builds by the chapter and each one gives events from the perspective of both main characters, which I find quite interesting. It is easy to read, the story flows so simple to follow and fast paced keeping your attention focused throughout. Story ends wanting you to reach for the next in the series. Good enjoyable read.
