About the author

I'm a lifelong reader who had a dream to write her own books. A transplanted Yankee, I recently moved cross country from Georgia to Texas. While I have a strong personal belief system and faith, I won't be "preaching" in any of my books. They'll have perfectly imperfect people in it who meet, fall in love, fall into bed (at times; sometimes they might wait), have kids, get married. In short, I want to write books that make people think and feel.
My debut novel, "Bountiful Harvest" was released on the 7th anniversary of my mom's death. Somehow, I think my biggest cheerleader and staunchest defender helped it publish so quickly.
Since hitting publish 8/31/16, I've had the privilege to begin co-writing with Liberty Parker on an MC series, the Rebel Guardians. There are seven books out in this series, plus two books in a spin-off (2.0, the next generation) and the first book in The Nelson Brothers (who show up in book 5 of the RGMC). We're hard at work on yet another spin-off (New Beginnings) featuring some of the girls from the RGMC whose love interests are not with the men from the MC!
I also co-write a series of children's short stories with a fellow author, Cherry Shephard and her 10 year old son. Get immersed in "The Mischief Kitties" and their zany, crazy lives!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWhat would you do if an unthinkable act changes your life completely? What would your outlook on life look like? Would you be angry at the person who changed your life with his reckless choice?
Mallory’s life is instantly changed the moment Brandon decided to get behind the wheel and drive...drunk. One minute Mallory is driving to her favorite coffee shop and the next she’s being cut out of her car, being rushed into an ambulance.
Brandon heads to jail to get the help he so desperately needs, while Mallory heads to rehab to help her gain her life back. Once Mallory gets checked into the rehab center she meets her new team...Kai her new nurse and Aus her new physical therapist. She’s instantly attracted to them as they are her. Despite all her challenges facing her their new relationship goes forward, with her two men promising her she won’t face anything alone. And she doesn’t. Not walking again, running again, or learning to live again. Now that she’s on the path to recovery physically she begins to wonder about how to heal mentally.
Then she gets a letter from Brandon...does she open the letter and face the trauma of the past to heal or does she hide away from it and go on with her life?
- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI really enjoyed this book and am anxiously awaiting the next one in the series! I am addicted to Darlene Tallman's books!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI really enjoyed this book. I was sad, happy, excited, mad, and horrified at all she had to endure. This book is definitely in my reread over and over collection.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAs someone who has read all of Ms Tallman's works I have to say this is one of the best she has written. The strength of character and body of Mal is truly astounding. Her men complement her perfectly, but to me this is the story of one woman's inner strength to overcome whatever obstacles get put in her path.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAll I can say is wow. This is not the usual mfm book. It is so different yes it is about mfm but the story is so powerful.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2022Format: KindleA horrific accident lands one man in jail and a woman in rehab. She meets two men who help her through her pain, and possibly to help her forgive the man who caused the accident. He sits in jail, rethinking his decisions and working on trying to forgive himself for what he did.
This book is highly emotional and shines a light on human flaws. Everyone makes mistakes and this book walks you through both sides when it happens. Brendon had to work through what he did and learn to live with it, while Mallory was the victim and had to work through forgiving him. The added touch of Kai and Austin helping her was a great added bonus.
The plot was emotional, but didn't have enough action points that gave you the highs and lows. I needed more action or more intrigue to keep me invested, and the story didn't have that.
