Murder on the Dance Floor: A Patricia Fisher Mystery, Book 6 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

4.6 out of 5 stars 1,053 ratings

Now halfway through her globetrotting around-the-world trip, Patricia Fisher is feeling relaxed and happy on the arm of Captain Alistair Huntley. The peace is soon interrupted, though, when another calling card is found. They have been turning up for weeks, proof that someone has been breaking into the upper deck suites, but nothing has been stolen, and no crime appears to have been committed.

There’s more going on, though. The Aurelia is playing host to a live television event as India’s biggest ever show Stars That Dance come on board for the journey from Chennai to Mumbai.

There’s a real party atmosphere, until the first body is found. It’s one of the dancers, and there’s yet another calling card impaled on the knife through her chest. In a true whodunnit style, Patricia is going to have to solve the crime, catch the killer, and work out how the calling cards are connected.

It’s just another day on board the Aurelia.

The murders in this book were very into and the stealing of the paintings. Mrs. Fisher really keeps you guessing how and why they happen. I look forward to see how she solves the next one.

This is a fun, light read, perfect for a cruise or beach lounging. The story is funny and interesting. Only complaint is too much focus on the attributes of the gym instructor. You can tell the story is written by a man.

Sad-So many murders. Happy- Patricia and friends were on the case. She really is quite the clever puzzle solver! Sad- because Patricia is only in like with Alistair. (I think she should have given him fair warning that she wasn’t ready for commitment so she doesn’t break his heart.) Happy- because she does explain things and it gives me hope for their future. After all, if sailors are at sea for six months, surely the Captain can work out something. Happy enough to continue the series! Next book please and thank you!

Patricia and Alistair are finally together.

A dance show from India is filming aboard the Aurelia. There is a squabble between two dancers , and soon one of them is found murdered.

Patricia and Alistair have a bet on who will find the killer first. Patricia is assisted by her usual team-Jermaine, Barbie, Akamu and Rick. Baker is thrown in as her bodyguard.

And of course, there is Anna, guard dog extraordinaire.

Then the bodies start piling up.

There is also someone breaking into the finest suites and leaving a calling card, but not taking anything. Is this related to the deaths?

It's great watching Patricia do her thing. You go, girl!

    Such a wonderful series!

This story has many different things going on to keep them busy. Murder is set up with real detective and a bet. Still a dance television show is in the background with a fair share of characters too. And pay attention to the dog!
