The Magic Vodka Wardrobe: Book 2 Kindle Edition
Mrs Singh would give anything for a wedding proposal for her daughters, then the mysterious text arrives, something about juicy mango's? Will Shaz accept or just visit the Magic Vodka Wardrobe where she can drink and dance with her sister Trace and Aunt Sheila?
As Rogue One hits the cinema, George Lucas is back from Uni, but will he catch the eye of the knicker-less shop girl, Sheryl?
Martha starts a new waxing business from her back kitchen while her little Avengers terrorise the street. We also meet Betina, the dog walker and the homeless Skinny Rita as they do whisky shots at the community centre with Dammit Janet the local Buddhist nun.
As Storm Doris wreaks havoc, Martha chases the wheelie bin full of empty tins of cider down the street. The wardrobe shakes and Shaz and Trace dance to Stormzy as the hairy barman Bachittar watches from behind the counter…. Sighing.

About the author

Sheila Patel was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK. She is the youngest of 7 children. Born into a traditional Punjabi family she went on to study Engineering at Leeds Polytechnic and John Moores University. She later obtained an MBA from the University of Liverpool.
After working at British Aerospace for several years, she became interested in working with young people and ran a successful training company in Liverpool city centre for over ten years.
She discovered her passion for writing later in life, having spent magical moments with her huge family and lovely nieces. She saw and experienced many things growing up in 70's Britain. Comedy and humour played a huge role in her life and she loved all the funny things that Indians do daily, to adapt to the British way of life.

Sheila and her family spent 2006/2007 working in Wuxi, China on a project involving bamboo!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2019I’m in lurve… Let’s dance—AGAIN! All night long with Sheila and Shaz, Bachittar and Gypo Bob… and plenty of new characters, too: Skinny Rita, Slut Candy, Omar the Saudi and Dammit Janet, AND Mad waxin’ Martha. But it doesn’t stop at just dancin’! Take a ride in the caravan (I learned this is an RV), and go round and round the roundabout. But be careful and don’t spaz out too much—or shake your booty all the way from Oz—because the bouncers might think you're a tripped-out terrorist attack in action and taser your twitching arse to the dance floor! Can you handle it? This blunt blast of crazy comedy with plenty of cool tunes sprinkled in will have some recoiled and red-faced, but most’ll be wasted, soon enough, ripping off their “I was Bored so I joined Tinder” T-shirt and joining in on the madness with their own favorite drink!
For me it was TEQUILA.
What a Thanksgiving day it was. I timed it perfectly, making Sheila Patel’s book the only other thing—besides cooking and a game of Hedbanz with the kiddos—that I would devote my attention to before family arrived. It didn’t take long too read and you know what, I liked entering The Magic Vodka Wardrobe this time, even better than when it shot the sh*t out of my cherry the first time I entered it (—you gotta read my review of of book one!—). This second volume, just like book one, had me laughing out loud—and my kids yelling “WHAT IS IT, DAD?”
Up-to-date quips about current events—La La Land accidentally winning Best Picture, “I think I’m going to learn brick laying and move to America,” and a goblin-like wizard, audit dude who’ll make sure The Wardrobe is up to code. British comedy hits all-new highs. YES! But I must admit, it’s kinda new to me. Maybe that’s why I like this snarky and sarcastic, no-holds-barred ZANY INSANITY so much! Five stars once more for a read that rehabilitates my brain from the humdrum quotidian fiasco we call life. I’VE FOUND MY FIX. And I’m looking forward to book three. I already marked it on my calendar. Timed and ready! Locked and loaded! Glass raised!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2018I could not wait to return to the Magic Vodka Wardrobe and author Sheila Patel did not disappoint! The zany daily antics of Shaz, Trace, and Aunt Sheila continue with their friends and family. Romance is in the air this go around--will the ladies find true love? Or stick to drinking voddy's and dancing in the Wardrobe?
Another very fun, page turning read from author Patel. Love the characters and their hilarious situations---you're drawn right into the party that never seems to end! A great read, highly recommended!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2019I have read every book and will continue to read this Authors books. These are a must read and I want a Vodka Wardrobe for myself. "Magic Mike" thank you Sheila @vodkawardrobe #vodkawardrobe
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2022Author Sheila Patel has crafted a zany adventure in The Magic Vodka Wardrobe: Book 2. It perfectly blends comedy, romance, and hilarious antics into one delightful romp.
This is a fast-paced story with plenty of laughs. If you need a break from reality, give this a read. I enjoyed it in one sitting.
The characters are truly the best part of this story. It's like a trip back in time to my own high-school days!
Thanks for an engaging story!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2019The enchanted alcohol-soaked wardrobe is back, and love is in the air. Well, something's in the air, and it's not just the smell of greasy fish and chips.
Under the wary eye of turban-topped barman Bachittar, the gals continue to dance and drink beneath the glitterball whilst studiously avoiding anything that smacks of growing up. Aided - or perhaps I mean infected - by a supporting cast of reprobates, including Skinny Rita, Slut Candy, Tattoo Tony, Omar the Saudi, Gypo Bob, Dammit Janet, and eyebrow-waxer Mad Martha with her super hero-themed offspring, the hi-jinx continues unabated despite threatened hurricanes and unreliable boyfriends.
Hilarious and wacky, TMVW2 is another laugh-out loud journey into the Yorkshire Surreal. I enjoyed it even more than TMVW1 - and that's saying something.
Highly recommended, especially if you can't afford a trip to the pub to cheer you up, or don't have a well-stocked wardrobe of your own.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2018Fun read with some pretty hilarious moments throughout the short story. It is based around a magic wardrobe. You get to know the characters really well and journey with them right down to wearing the funny hat that promises you a shiny head of hair.
I felt like I was sitting as a fly watching them getting drunk and going off on some stupendously crazy caper. Or cringe at bogeys attached to coins. Yep that one made me cringe, a little. Very funny antics thrown in. You’ll love this book, that I am sure of, provided you have a good sense of humor.
I think I would like a magic wardrobe, it would be a very magical trip, back and forth, it would be so much fun. Almost as much as reading this entertaining book.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing follow up
I really enjoyed this amazing follow up to book one. The mad cap goings on in and around the Magic Vodka Wardrobe are just as crazy as before. These books are based around a corner shop and a magic wardrobe and a mad bunch of people and a goat! We really are getting to know the characters better, even the goat!! Will Shaz and Trace ever get married? I look forward to the next instalment, I've stocked up on vodka :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun read with crazy characters!
Roaring with laughter at Sheila Patel's Book 2 of the series, a very enjoyable and fun read.
We get to know the characters a little more and the Niece's are some how still turning up to work in the family corner shop whilst drunk on voddy! Poor Rajeev getting held in immigration whilst smuggling a gold ring in mangoes had me crying with laughter!
Everyone needs a Vodka Wardrobe and I can't wait to hear what the next book has in store!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wacky and amusing fun!
'Ar Sheila' takes us on a wonderful wacky, entertaining trip back and forth in the magic wardrobe again! I thoroughly enjoy these books especially the ring in the mango and the song references. I reckon I need one of those t-shirts as well as a magic wardrobe! However it left me kind of feeling sorry for Bachittar as I feel he's stuck in between!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bonkers sequel involving tropical fruit
The second instalment from Sheila Patel of this madcap escapism. The sisters concoct and ever more hilarious set of drunken escapades than before whilst their parents toil in the shop below, dealing with the colourful local characters that frequent their business and the local haunts such as Thornbury Roundabout, the scene of much carnage during the first instalment.
