I read this book via an Amazon KINDLE Unlimited [KU] download.

As an author, I for one know the importance of writing prompts. I used them in the course of writing my first book. The now defunct website asked followers to write a five sentence Flash Fiction around the prompt word for the week. These prompt words had helped me get through far more than one case of writer’s block.

Parents know how vivid the imagination of their children can be. So, if writing prompts can help an adult with the creativity in their writings, can you imagine what it might be able to do for a child. Not only would they spark a child’s imagination, they would also allow the child to hone their physical writing abilities by having them put their stories down on paper. One of the great things about writing prompts is that they can be used over and over.

Parents can also use these same prompts when they want to give their inner-child something to write about. I still use writing prompts to spur my creativity in all of the stories I’m writing today.

For wanting to assist parents in their desire to support their child’s creative imagination and improve their writing ability, I’m happy to give the author, Wendy J Scott, 5 STARS for her endeavor here.

As a teacher, I find this to be such a fantastic source of writing prompts. Each prompt allows the writer to tap into his/her imagination and pull out full stories. These are not one-sentence type of starters. These are full-fledged story starters. I would even recommend this book to parents of young children. They will help their children build strong imaginations and keep family time interesting and entertaining and each person creates his/her own story from the prompt.
