Make Him Howl (Shift Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 89 ratings

Funny how a wolf can survive after losing half his soul. Twice.

Gabriel is living in a nightmare. His sloppy mistake allowed rogue shifters to kidnap Parker, his best friend and partner. Unwilling to rest and plagued with memories of his twin brother who’d died in his arms, he pushes himself to the limits of endurance in his hunt to retrieve Parker.

Until the day she saves herself.

Parker thought that being secretly in love with her partner was the low point of her career. She was wrong. Forced to compete in shapeshifter cage fights, she commits an unspeakable act she can never undo. With her mind and body too bruised to resume her former job, she’s fighting to keep sane. Keeping away from overprotective Gabriel is even harder.

But their enemies are closing in, hurting shifters and humans alike. With so much to lose, their only solution will be to fight together, even if this brings up truths they’re not ready to face.

After Parker was kidnapped, Gabriel was frantic and looked for her all over. When she escaped he’s who she called.
Very well written take on a woman who might have survivors guilt
and a guy who’s clueless about feelings.

The only thing that sucks about this book is that there isn’t another one in the cue. What!!?!?!?🤦🏻‍♀️ The book is a standalone like the others but the story throughout is so interesting and now I’m dying to know what’s next. 😒 Hopefully there will be more.

I'm a sucker for unrequited love, and my heart broke for Parker in this book. Both because of the horrible events she lives through and the sweet bitterness of her love for a man who never saw her as she is. I understood and respected her need for space, but thankfully Gabriel came to his senses. Loved that coat closet scene! Well done!

Well, this settles it. This is my favorite shifter series. A clearly articulated and believable fantasy world, characters we connect to emotionally, dashes of intrigue, STEAMY romance, and a quick pace make this series completely addicting. I hope more stories are in the works! Consider me a One-Click for all your work, Ms. Ashwood!

I voluntatily reviewed a copy of "MAKE HIM HOWL" This story was do well executed what a rollercoaster ride this journey takes you on its full of intense drama, intrigue, suspense, heartache, secrets, danger, kidnapping, abuse, twists that have you on the edge of your seat.
Parker Bourne is a Shade that works for SANA and her Partner is Gabriel West whom she's been in love with for years but he only thinks of her as a friend and his partner he makes a terrible mistake and she gets kidnapped by Reid Maxwell from the Guard.
Parker and other shifters are kept in cages and used to put in fighting rings their conditions are horrible they have to fight to the death will her SANA friends be able to find her in time you must get this extremely well written book with fantastic well developed characters to find out.
The chemistry between Parker and Gabriel is off the charts scorching hot when they finally succumb to their feelings what a phenominal series this is I highly recommend it a must have you don't want to miss I can't wait for the next book in this awsome series.

After reading Bearly Married, Trust the Wolf and Truth or Bear I was used to a certain level of excitement, drama and romance all blending together to form a captivating story. Even though Zoe’s quality of writing was still up there with the other books, I felt it was written a bit differently.

Since we’re following on from the end of Truth or Bear our lovers are separated thanks to Parker being kidnapped. Even though we’re a month on from where we left off, Gabriel hasn’t managed to find any promising leads to find Parker. Although this separation was great for building up Gabriel’s feelings for Parker. It meant that the rest of the story had to adapt to suit it.

Throughout most of this book I felt like it was a bit flat emotionally compared to the rest of the series. There were certainly peaks of drama and excitement. But not to the same levels as the other books.

After finishing that story, I feel like it could have been done better as a novella. That way it cuts out the flatter sections or could have at least condensed it. Leaving us with all the good filled bits!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! What a series
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 27, 2023
Wow!! Gabriel and Parker’s book just hits different! There’s so many layers to peel back, so much drama/action/angst.

Gabriel does everything to find Parker, and Parker just fights to survive, then she calls and he runs to get her. The pain I felt for Parker, not only with the torture she’s gone through, but her love for Gabriel. Then everything comes out and Gabriel fights for their relationship.

    Amazing series
