    Dang these Fierros are addictive. V. Theia has a minimalist style of crafting the story that either works for you or it doesn't. Fortunately, it works for me. Manhattan Secret, Delaney Sloan hooks up with a tall, sexy man in the bathroom of a Manhattan club and gets her mind blown with fantastic s3x.

    Well, the next day is her first day of teaching high school at an exclusive private academy and who should show up to one of her senior honors computer science courses --- as a student -- is her hookup! Fortunately, Lachlan Fierro is already 18 yrs old. Maybe unfortunately for her, Lachlan is a over powered combo of his parents. He's brilliant like his mom, Sena, & too sexy for words like his dad, Noah. ( If you haven't yet, drop everything to read Theia's Taboo Love series It Was Love & It Was Always Love with straight-for-her Noah Fierro claims his BFF Sena Black and the heck with everyone else who surprised at why he suddenly in a love affair with a woman.)

    Like Noah, Lachlan is confident & driven to get whatever he sets his sights on & he wants Laney. He is cocky and sexy and very pleased with this turn of events.     Where do I even start? I want to make this review so spectacular that everyone will want to meet Lachlan Fierro, but my words aren't my skills. I loved this confident, go after what he wants and take no prisoners man/boy. You can certainly tell he is the cocky cub of a Lion and a Kitten. He sees his woman and NOTHING will stop him from having her. His devotion to Laney was special to watch unfold. The love was powerful.

    Do not let this trope fool you into thinking this is a super forbidden romance. I cannot tell you what it is, but I can tell you it is NO Mary Kay Letourneau where an adult teacher takes advantage of a very young student. It just doesn't go down that way. It does have elements of the forbidden, some secrets, hence the name Manhattan Secret, but it is a true love story.

    This author has never let me down. I buy all her books and wait impatiently for the new releases. This is from her Manhattan World and while it is a complete stand alone, the experience will be richer if you know all the players. So start at the beginning or jump into the middle.... BUT.... jump! I highly recommend this book!

    You can’t put this book down. At all! I loved every single second of it, because just like all of the other reads I’ve had from V. Theia, they have been amazingly wonderful.

    Lachlan and Laney are just super adorable from the minute you meet them. Their chemistry is off the charts and sex appeal is just as delicious. Let me tell you, Lachlan has a mouth on him!! ;-) We know already that the love they share would be frowned upon because of Laney being his teacher, but that will not stop a determined Fierro!
    Thankfully V Theia is a HEA author, so I wasn’t too worried we wouldn’t get that happy ending. But she HAD to drag our emotions through the gutter because we couldn’t stand Lachlan and Laney being apart. Not a single bit. I loved every single second of this book, and can’t wait to do my second read just to experience it all again!

    Other reads? Not necessary for this book, but why would you not? I would recommend starting at the beginning of the Fierro clan, but it’s not a do or die situation, and I do believe you will regret it if you don’t. I simply cannot wait for the next installment of this family.

    This book can’t be described in words, there is just not enough time. This book makes you feel everything that these two are feeling, it is the best feelings but also sad feelings because there is no love story without some hard times thrown in there. If you are worried about the teacher/student part don’t be. That is a small part of this epic love. It isn’t weird because it’s written so amazingly well that, that will be the last thing on your mind, you will be consumed with this book and not want to stop until you see how this book turns out, you might want to read this on a weekend because it is definitely a binge worthy book!

    I really liked Laney and Lachlan as a couple. Hrs a bad boy, she’s straight laced, but they work. Even with their vastly different lifestyles and age differences.

    The characters are interesting, and I like how the are both willing to sacrifice and work to make their relationship successful. I enjoyed this book.

    Loved the book! Loved the MMC. He knew what he wanted and took it. The s3x scenes were super hot and the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was bc there was A LOT of telling instead of showing… I would say 50% of the spicy scenes were something like “and we stayed in bed all weekend with him giving me a ton of Os” (obviously written way better than that lol) but she just tells what s3x they had instead of going into detail a lot of the time. Ugh I cannot stand that. I would say if she showed about half of those scenes it would have been way hotter. The spice was good though! And the story was good! I love the older female teacher trope. Love it!!

Lachlan Fierro is a powerhouse of a man.     Can someone please tell me how and where to meet someone like these Fierros.
    They love hard and long.

    I didnt think Id love Lachie as much as I do. He protective of what and who is his. Loyality is huge for him. Means everything.

    Mouse is adorabs. Her move to Manhatton was unusual for her, something not safe, But The way Laughlin took over.... damn. Just damn.

    I don’t usually read when one is still in high school but I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
    Lachlan was so freaking hot like seriously the bossiness, possessiveness was so OTT but it was hot. I loved Laney, every feeling she felt I felt I loved her attitude. The story was well written and I’m happy I ended up giving it a go.
