This was the first book I read from the Ravaged Castle series and I loved it; I didn’t want this book to end!The banter and tension in this book was perfect. And when we met Starboy, I understood why so many people loved him.When it was Orion’s POV, I understood why he is the way he is. I was tearing up at the loneliness and longing that he felt. Layla becoming part of his family was the best thing for him growing up. I adored how much Orion loves Layla, and how he is willing to do anything for her.I also loved that Layla wanted to care for him the way he does for her. Making sure he was okay, being close to each other, making meals. It was all part of trust and vulnerability.It was beautiful to see how the characters matured and developed feelings for each other and that the years apart made them need eachother more.This was another amazing novel by Amanda Richardson, and I can’t wait to read more!Side note: I loved the playlist for this book and the parts where we got to see Kai made me really excited for his book.Favorite Quotes:“I never felt more alive, more out of control, more completely hers.”“She’s looking at me like I’m worth something.”“The qualities that make you different are the same ones that make you special.”“It’s the feeling of being right where I’m meant to be.”

    New fan here. Never have read a book by this author but I will say I'm definitely not disappointed. This was A great enemies to lovers story/ step siblings. I will say the beginning was a little slow so I did have a hard time connecting with the book at first. However, as I kept reading, it kicked up in my interest was peaked and I couldn't put it down after that. I look forward to reading other books by this author

    If you're in it for the hot spice, you've found a good read. Buckle up and put away your safe word... while there's BDSM and Dom/Sub, it's consensual and I wouldn't consider anything trigger warning worthy.
    I'm not really into the brother and sister trope and at times I felt like the words stepbrother/stepsister/sis etc. were a bit much, over used or awkward and that could be that its just not my kink ;) ... I thank the stars that it's not something mentioned in depth in the spicier scenes, or it would have been book over for me.
    Writing was well done and overall story was great! I am reading this one first, so out of order, but they truly are stand alones as noted and not reading in order didn't create any confusion.
    I would recommend this one to my smut friends. ❤️

    The first book I read from the author and I am a goner. The story was intense with angst that kept me rooted for every ounce of interaction between the characters. The banter is the best part with the amazing plot complimenting it all. I enjoyed the story and would want to read all the other books by Amanda too.

    Orion and Layla have come a long way from where they started in the book and where it all ended. They are the characters that will make me happy if I meet them in future books anywhere. They have left that impression and made me love them so much.

    Orion’s dedication and Layla’s kindness are the heart of the story and the slow burn with a great chemistry is just wow. Do read triggers and this book can be read as standalone. You can go, and catch up with the brothers (in their own books) who have intrigued me a lot before or after reading this one.

    Layla is perfect. She is such a Rolemodel for the way she dealt with her body image and how she interacts with the little girls in her dance class. It was so heartwarming and sweet. And Orion is just hypnotizing.
    I mean he has all you want from a perfect MMC.
    Between the masked persona, hypnosis, filthy praise and degradation he does everything to make Layla happy.
    Like the Flowers he sends her or that he reads the same books like her. Makes her favorite breakfast. He is just so lovely. And his Confession was everything. ❤️
    And girls he is also hot as hell.
    All i have to say is: "Yes, Master." 🔥🔥
    I just really loved this book.
