The adorable Irishman hires Meredith for emotional support in facing his estranged family, but he’s the one who ends up comforting her as she tries to come to terms with her beloved mother’s slide into the heartbreaking abyss of Alzheimer’s. It's only when Meredith sees how much she's leaning on Kieran that she realizes she's blurred the lines between professional and personal, but even worse? She’s broken her number one rule. She’s gotten attached to a client.
Meredith knows the best solution is to resume a strictly professional relationship. But Kieran makes her feel something she never thought she'd feel again. Surely that's worth breaking her own rules for?

About the author
Marie Landry lives and writes in a cozy apartment in Ontario, Canada, surrounded by books and Funko Pops. An avid reader from a young age, she loves getting lost in characters’ worlds, whether they’re of her own making or someone else’s. She particularly loves stories with as much of an emphasis on self-discovery and friendship as on romance...but don’t leave out the romance!
When not doing bookish things, you can often find her taking pictures, cooking, scrolling Instagram (find her at @marielandry.author), daydreaming about frolicking through the Scottish Highlands, or listening to the same music she's loved since the '90s. She's an unapologetic nerd and fangirl, and that, along with her mental health advocacy, is often woven into her books.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2019Meredith is a professional cuddler - she doesn't get involved with her clients lives beyond the cuddling experience. Enter Kieran, as Irish as they come, and just so darn cute. He hires Meredith to help him when his family comes to visit. They develop an attraction, but she needs to keep it professional, and won't get involved. A few months later, they run into each other socially, and figure it's okay to begin a relationship. This is a very poignant story - Meredith is dealing with the loss of her mother (who's alive but has late stage Alzheimer's and doesn't want Meredith to visit her) and doesn't realize that she's battling depression as a result. I loved this story - seeing Meredith and Kieran's relationship grow, and how much they help each other with their issues. This is y first read from this author - certainly not the last.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2019This book is sickly sweet... In a good way! It's very romantic with little steam. The slow burn is nice but it does drag occasionally. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars What an emotional ride!
This one was so deep and caring. Meredith's journey from "professional cuddler" to self discovery and emotional growth was inspiring and heartwarming. Kieran was incredibly supportive and amazingly sweet and I loved seeing Ivy and Hugh beeing so present for their friend. Would die for a sneak peak of Meredith's travel stories!

5.0 out of 5 stars Moving and heartfelt with a side of romance
A very enjoyable read which touches on some difficult subjects, Alzheimers and mental health. The author treated both with a well throughout and sensitive touch. I was fully immersed in this storyline from the start and I really enjoyed getting to know the characters. It was a very believable read.
Definitely worth a try.
