Meant To Be (Coming Home To The Grove Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 543 ratings

As the sheriff of Forest Grove, I vow to serve and protect.
I take my duties seriously and don’t take time for fun, dancing or dating.
That is until Carrie moves back to Forest Grove.
Now I’m eating her special recipes, dancing at the local bar, and thinking about my future… with her.
She thinks we’re fake dating… I think we’re falling in love.
But when a cop tries to interfere and ruin my one chance for happiness, I decide to take matters into my own hands.
Because I know that no matter what, I can’t lose her… We were meant to be.

Welcome to Forest Grove.
It’s a small town in the hills of Tennessee where everyone knows each other and love always prevails.

For one reason or another, the people may leave, but they each return to find love and romance in this small town with a big heart.

Return to Forest Grove is a series of interconnected, stand-alone small-town romance stories. Each book promises a sweet, steamy, happily ever after.

This story put such a smile on my face!

I adored Scott and Carrie and their instant connection, even as they shied away from it for a while. Carrie is a complete and total sweetheart and I adore her and how she's grown to love and accept herself and demands that same respect from others in her life. And I love how Scott is head over heels from the start, and just needs to figure out how to get them both on the same page!

All in all, a delightful quick read you'll definitely enjoy!

    P. S. Already looking forward to the next one in the series!

I really enjoyed reading this 90-page love story. The H and h were likable and most of the secondary characters were, as well. The intimacy was steamy. I would have given five stars, but the epilogue was very unsatisfying. Instead of doing a nice wrap-up to THIS story, it was given from the point of view of the h in the next story in the series, with only a little mention of the current H and h. Disappointing.

I highly recommend! (Everything but the epilogue, that is.)

I really enjoyed this story. It was sweet and the characters of Scott and Carrie were delightful. This is a romance, not the book, that starts out slow and builds. Scott is the sheriff and is caring and sweet. Carrie has some issue I feel due to her mother. It is nice to see this relationship evolve and grow. I loved this book. Hope Ford rocks another story. I love this town!

I enjoyed the characters, their chemistry and the journey they took to fall in love. I thought it was cute and heart warming.
The 2 stars off come from the main character's arc conclusion with her mother. Her mother the entire book was mentally abusive, going after her for her weight, general appearance and life choices. This mother needed therapy and the father was just as bad for never sticking up for his kid. Having the main character suddenly stick up for herself (which was rad) followed by her mom suddenly seeing the error of her ways and them hugging it out...
It wasnt a disagreement or clashing views, her mom was an abuser. It soured the story for me.

Carrie has just moved back to town where she grew up. Her mom is so mean to her because she isn't skinny and she dropped out of college. Carrie ends up going back and working at her Aunt Patty's bakery. To her it's like coming home. One day she meets Sheriff Scott and sparks fly. A small town romance with a little drama along the way. This book is so worth reading.

The story was cute. I felt where were parts that were cut short. Also, I wish there was a better ending for Scott and Carrie. A wedding proposal or even 3 years down the road.

I loved this book for so many reasons. There is a sweet girl who has moved home and dropped out of college to follow her dreams. With a mother who is less than keen she is giving up her future... Then in walks the grumpy but sexy man who is all thumbs and it’s adorable. Add in a workplace spat, a misunderstanding and finding your inner beauty to create a story that you will regret if you don’t read. I love this series and the extras you get for signing up for her emails. I cannot wait for the others.

Scott and Carrie were perfect together !!! I enjoyed reading this book, it was well written and the story was complete . I have enjoyed that the epilogue of each book is really an intro to the character of the main book .

3.0 out of 5 stars Scott and Carrie

It was a great read really. I liked Scott a lot but he was getting on my nerves with how long it was taking him to ask Carrie out. I also liked Carrie. But the fact that just because she heard something, a lot, in this case, she and her family really went on the deep end.
