Much to my pleasure, Ava and Eli got two books for their HEA! Book 3 in The Callahans was hands down my favorite in the series, and this one is right up there - it is part 2 to that story after all. Please see my review for book #3 here below, whereas it'll touch upon what I loved most about their story, but the only thing that I'll add specifically for this book is that we are rooting so hard for these two. Their story is really full of love, yet they each have their challenges, Eli more than Ava. And we feel so deeply for Eli and we desperately want the HEA for them - they will both thrive in life from having the other in their lives. The story is sweet, sexy as hell, addicting, riveting, compelling, heartbreaking, and brings us on such a ride that it's no wonder that Ava and Eli's story has been my favorite in the series!

This has been my favorite book in The Callahans series thus far! Ava and Eli's story, or part 1 of it, was so addicting! Don't get me wrong, Autumn and Jake's stories were great too (books 1 and 2) but we've been teased with Ava and Eli, specifically in Jake's book - and now we finally got it!
I for one love it when we get more behind-the-scenes action. And the storyline in this book coincides with Jake's book - so like in Jake's book when Eli was calling him out with his posts, in this book we get more info on what's going on about those posts from Ava and Eli's perspective - and it just makes the plot and what's going on all the more addicting!
We had gotten to know Ava pretty well in books 1 and 2, we got to know just a little bit about Eli in book 3, but it was all from a distance. So when we start this book off when Eli first sets eyes on Ava, it's just so sweet and we desperately want more. Then we're hit with the summer football camp. Am I the only one who totally loved all of the happenings there? And then how he continued to pursue her, to woo her, to break her down? I think that the most compelling part of their story is how open, raw and honest they are. They are both incredibly fierce, reactive, strong, don't give a shit, and ready to strike if they feel threatened. And quite frankly, I don't even fault them this. I quite enjoyed it. But their challenges, specifically Eli's... it's really heartbreaking in so many ways. And as a result, we really root for them to work - for all of the obstacles in their way to just go away. Yet, their actions and reactions also cause a lot of the tension and misunderstandings between the two - as well as the distrust the Eli harbors.
Ugh, it's just such a good story - and to my great pleasure these two got two books in their story! Even if you don't read any of the other stories in this series, this is the one that is beyond worth it! Loved everything about it.

Eli Bennett is the stuff that book boyfriends are made of! He will melt your heart and your panties all at the same time. The cliffhanger from the last book really had me on pins and needles. I couldn't think straight until I picked this book up to continue Ava and Eli's story. Murphy is a brilliant storyteller. She crafts the plots of her stories with so much finesse. She makes the reader crave the story like oxygen and leaves the reader on the edge of their seat diligently consuming every single word. The pacing is always perfect and the crafting of the story is always excellent. I am in complete awe at how much I fell in love with these characters. Thinking back on it, I think that I say this every time I read one of Murphy's books but this time it feels more intense. Ava and Eli's characters really resonated strongly with me for some reason. Murphy forged such a powerful connection to these characters with phenomenal character building and development. She wrote such realistic characters that it was so easy to fall right into their worlds. These characters are genuine. They have flaws and quirks and endearing qualities that make them pop right off the page. Another thing that I absolutely love is all the side characters. I adore the Callahan family and their friends so much. Murphy writes characters that the reader absolutely falls in love with, even when they aren't the focus in a particular book. Her side characters bring so much to the stories - depth, interesting dynamics, and qualities that the reader just gravitates to. It's always so gratifying to see them pop up in other books as well. The romance in this book was off the charts hot! Eli Bennett will leave you breathless. The love that Eli feels for Ava can be felt in everything he does and says. The love that Eli and Ava have for each other is genuine and significant. They truly appreciate each other and care for each other. Witnessing their love unfold in this series has been truly gratifying. And while Eli Bennett can be romantic, he can also set your panties ablaze with that dirty mouth of his. Eli is hotter than a firecracker on the Fourth of July. Just saying. Overall, I am absolutely smitten with Eli and Ava's story. They are relationship goals for sure. I was completely consumed by this story and I feel like it will be a while before I come back up for air. If you haven't tried the Callahans series yet then you are missing out on some extraordinary stories. Murphy is an expert storyteller that weaves magic into her books with every word. I am so stoked to read the next book in the Callahans series!
