Metal Flesh (The After Eden Series: Tek-Fall, Episode I) Kindle Edition
Metal Flesh: Tek-Fall (Episode I) is the companion novella in the After Eden science fiction and international thriller series by Austin Dragon.
The year is 2093! Before the events of Thy Kingdom Fall (After Eden Series, Book #1) and during the events of Stars & Scorpions (After Eden Series, Book #2).
Faithers and Pagans are both looking for the elusive “Man Made Out of String.” But who is this contract killer—or what is he?
From the tek-cities of America to the Outlands of the Middle East, the sci-fi adventure thriller continues.
Tek-World loves its artificial-intelligent mechanization, including robotic pets and ubiquitous drones. But humans have also created machines in their image—robots—using metal instead of flesh.
Metal Flesh is book one of the two-part Tek-Fall Duology in the epic After Eden series--a dramatic mix of politics, religion, technology, and intrigue set almost eighty years in the future.
The After Eden saga is leading to the explosion of World War Three, a hell we have never seen before.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2015This is an excellent read!
The reader is drawn into the story by characters and events that just have to be followed right to the end. As a sci-fi it is brilliant in the believability of the events and the locales. The events sweep the reader through the book with enough strength to keep the reader needing more while trying to second guess each and every outcome. The central characters are solid, each with a charisma that draws you further into the story being told.
All of this and more without making anyone feel inadequate because they struggle with concepts or 'tek talk'
A definite must read for any sci-fi fan.
I was provided with an ecopy of the book in exchange for an honest review
- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2015A fabulous futuristic wee story that I enjoy very much. - Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2015[Metal Flesh (The After Eden Series: Tek-Fall, Episode I] by [Austin Dragon] was an interesting view of the future. Sprocket is an atheist who's father was killed by a mysterious hit man. The world is dominated by tek. He is trying to find the only person who can help him, Goth Lila. Will he be able to handle what he finds out?
The characters were very good. I also likes how the story was broken up not only in chapters but time and place within the chapters. The story did seem to jump around a little but perhaps because I have not read the other books by [Dragon] yet. I plan to do just that.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2015Received in exchange for a honest review. Austin Dragon has written a wonderfully imaginative novella that leaves you with questions and clamoring for the next installment.
It opens with robots with worms coming out of them. Why the worms? I believe this is to do with Sprock the main character. The character that is sought after by goths and the government. the question is why is he such a commodity for everyone. All he wants is answers and to find Goth Lila. She can answer his questions about his dad and what happened. Will she is the question. While waiting and searching he takes too many Zombies (like no doz in the present) and is having the side effects. What side effects they are to..
Each character drives the story with the plot intertwining around them. Every character brings out an emotion whether it be like, dislike or anger depending on the situation. Not one character will bring the same emotion out throughout the novella. Only the main character do you truly feel for and trust. The rest make you wary with the political posturing and agendas they have.
Dragon’s descriptive writing is excellent and the way he weaves the tale is intriguing. He keeps you on the precipice with just enough to get you interested and not enough to spoil the story and now you are left with questions and guessing things. The world he has created is fun in some respects with the imagination that is seen, serious in what it depicts in factions and the governments true goals if that is really seen. Not everything is at it seems and hopefully the next installment will let us see behind the transparent glass to answer the questions and fill our thirst for more.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2015I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Metal Flesh is a quick read (~2 h) set in the world established by Thy Kingdom Fall (After Eden Series, Book 1) and occurring during the events of Stars and Scorpions (After Eden Series, Book 2). I have not read the other books in the series.
Given the length of this book, it would be a struggle to catch the reader up to the situation of the world while also providing good character development and an interesting plot. There is a lot of information provided on how the world is organized and what the various factions are doing, how they relate to one another, etc. It seems like an interesting place. The characters, though not fully developed, have the potential to be interesting. This book had a rather thin story. I suspect that is a result of its place in a series which may offer additional details on the storyline as well as the characters.
Overall, the book was well written and provides a description of an interesting place. I would suggest trying the first book in the series rather than starting here.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2017An interesting future where religion and technology have semi merged into new ideals.
Although short the story gives us some insights into this new world with a plethora of intrigues and twisted machinations by the new world orders. A bit too early to tell but inbelieve this series may be very good if it doesn't get itself lost in explanations and overly complicated plots details.
This book was provided free in exchange for an honest review and as such is my own opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2014This novella was made available to me, by the author, in return for an honest review.
I enjoyed this novella. Metal Flesh (Tek-Fall, Episode I) is a great addition to the After Eden series. It, along with the series, is a fantastic read. If you're a fan of the series, you will not be disappointed. Can't wait to read the conclusion, Hell's Menagerie (Tek-Fall, Episode II).
