One handywoman.
One single dad.
One set of twins.
And the wall isn’t the only thing being drilled…

I learned the hard way that being a handywoman isn’t easy. The questions, the stares—the assumption I’m the proud owner of a cock and balls. Not that it matters. I’ve proven over and over that I’m ready for anything the judgmental asses throw at me.
Except the hot, single dad of twins who just moved to town.
Brantley Cooper gets the shock of his life when I show up on his doorstep to fix up his kids’ new rooms. His son is confused why ‘the pretty lady has a drill,’ and his daughter has a new obsession—me.
On paper, my job is easy. Go in, do their bedrooms, and leave.
In theory, I’m spending eight hours a day with a guarded, sexy as hell guy, and I’m staying for dinner more often than I’m eating it alone, on my couch, with Friends re-runs.
I shouldn’t be staying for dinner. I shouldn’t be helping him out with the twins. I shouldn’t be falling in love with tiny toes and dimpled cheeks.
And I most definitely should not be kissing my client.

New York Times & USA Today bestselling author, Emma Hart, has written more than seventy romance novels in the last decade. She loves writing snarky, swoony romcoms with a side of chaos, occasionally venturing into romantic mysteries. Which are exactly the same as her romcoms, just with a dead body or two. That’s the reason for her questionable Internet history—at least that’s the story she’s sticking to.

She lives on a smallholding in North Wales with her husband and their two children, a clowder of very fluffy cats, one giant German Shepherd, and an undisclosed number of chickens and ducks. Don’t ask her to count them. She will not, thank you very much.

When she’s not writing or chasing ducks in her pyjamas, you can find her creating cosy gaming content for her Youtube channel and live streaming on Twitch.

Emma Hart writes one liners, cute children and a entertainingly funny light hearted romance like no other.

In this book we have Brantley and his twins Eli and Ellie move into town. He hires Kali to fix his children’s bedrooms and this is where the fun begins. From the moment Kali shows up at Brantley’s door.

Brantley is just a sweet adorable guy. He loves his children something fierce. His way of teaching his children lessons is awesome and he just is amazing. His interactions with Kali are hysterical. She is so freakin adorable it isn’t funny. She has no filter I swear. But she fits how Emma Hart writes her main female leads. She is strong, independent and fun.

The scenes about the dating app guys were a hoot. Interactions with the step mom entertaining and with her dad sweet. Kali is a great character. I loved watching the little precious hurricanes that were Eli and Ellie interact with Kali and her fall in love with them.

The interactions with Brantley and Kali were so so fun. His laughter rang through the book. But the way they had such a easy flow and like they just belonged in each other’s world was great. We don’t get angst just a purely light hearted entertaining romance. And this is where Emma Hart excels. She excels at giving us great little children interactions that have your heart melt. Guys who become your book boyfriends and Brantley does this and more. he has you melt into a happy pile of goo. He is a great understanding dad and isn’t perfect. He also gives as good as he gets as we see with Kali. The flow of their relationship was organic.

I couldn’t put this book down nor could I stop the laughter. Two wonderfully amazing combinations to have with a book read. You fall in love with the characters and their quirky personalities from the get go. The stepmom who has no filter, Kali who doesn’t want children at the beginning falling for Eli and Ellie and their dad as she fixes up their bedrooms and Brantley who just is Brantley.

Best line (gist of the line) that has you go all gooey: I am myself again because of you. Not a dad but myself.

A truly fun light hearted book that just has you smile and laugh throughout as you watch Brantley and Kali fall in love and become a family.

Miss Fix-It by Emma Hart is a new story from her which is smoking hot. It is full of humor, heart, sass, snark, heart-warming, and captivating emotions. The story is about handywoman and single dad with twins combo and I will admit at first I wasn’t sure I could get into a plot like that but Ms. Hart definitely will get you hooked with how she writes characters that come off as real and likeable and also has some pretty awesome dialogue along with some steamy sexual attraction.
Kali is a handy woman just like her dad before her in their small town. She is very much in demand. She is in her mid 20s and wants to find mister right, not mister right now but doesn’t know if she will ever meet him in their small town. KaIi meets single, sexy daddy, Brantley Cooper when he hired her to fix things in the home he has purchased for him and his young twins. She found herself very attracted to Brantley but didn’t want to make any moves because he is her boss and he has hired her. There is a definite chemistry between them but Brantley himself is getting over the death of his wife and he is busy trying to get moved in, raise his young twins and get settled into town… I loved how Kali didn’t know what she was doing when she found herself taking time and showing his twins what she did and really relating to them while internally asking herself why she even was. It was real questions a woman who didn’t know if she even liked kids would ask herself. I enjoyed the heartwarming humor and fun in this story. I also enjoyed how Kali and Brantley danced around the sexual tension they both feel around each other. Brantley is a take charge kind of man, has a good heart and is super dad while Kali was so sarcastic, is a good daughter, is independent, is sassy and has a good heart as well. They make a great couple and their love story was a feel good one. I am all thumbs when it comes to fixing anything so to read a story where the woman was the doer/fixer was great!!! I loved the secondary characters in this story as well – this story had some twists/turns to it and the ending was beautiful. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Hart.

I loved this book, it was sweet, sexy and absolutely hilarious.

Kali Hancock is a builder, she is part of her family business and she loves it. Whilst the work side of her life is going great her love life is not. Bad date after bad date, strange, creepy message from guys on a dating site she has resigned herself to never finding someone until she knocks on the door of her latest client.

Brantley Cooper is a single Dad of 4-year-old twins, he has recently moved to Rock Bay for a fresh start. His life is total
chaos, but when the builder who is going to be sorting his kid’s rooms out turns up his life is about to get a little bit more chaotic.

Brantley and Kali’s story is amazing, its heart-warming and will make you laugh out loud and feel sorry for anyone with twins.

Cannot wait for more from Emma she is a must read author for me.

I absolutely adore Emma Hart's books and ‘Miss Fix-It‘ was another great read. She managed to get the balance of heart-warming, funny, swoony and sexy perfectly. Kali and Brant had great chemistry and the storyline was unique ... who doesn’t love a hot single dad with adorable 4 year old twins and a handy woman!!

I particularly adored Kali our heroine, she was comfortable in her own skin and sassy yet with a huge heart. I also loved the things that came out of her unfiltered mouth - they literally had me cracking up...

I thoroughly enjoyed Kali and Brant’s journey to their HEA. I I loved how they got to know each other helped by Eleanor and Elijah - the adorable, crazy twins. If you are looking for a fun, character driven romance with a sexy single dad and a feisty handywoman then this is a definite must read!

As always, Emma Hart delivers! I actually owe credit to this author for ending MANY reading slumps! Like her other romantic comedies, this book is sure to keep the pages turning. Interesting plot, laugh out loud scenes, and a fantastically relatable lead character. Seriously enjoyed this book!!! Oh, and those online dating... lets call them 'adventures'... bang on. I laughed way too hard over the horrid tales the characters shared, and the memories of my own they stirred up!
