A Most Fashionable Murder (A Lady Thea Mystery Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 366 ratings

Fletcher’s has everything a fashionable lady needs — including a dead body!
London 1910 - Lady Thea is looking forward to catching up with friends and perusing the latest fashions. Fletcher’s is top of her list, and not least because its new owner is her friend—and former maid—Molly.
While Thea hopes to find something new to wear, the last thing she expects to stumble across is a dead body. When she does, Molly is forced to admit the truth. Someone wants her gone, and they are willing to go to any length to see her removed from the head office… including attacks… and maybe murder…
Although Thea promised herself she’d lead a quiet life, leaving a friend’s life at risk is out of the question. She suits up and heads out to uncover the clues.
But the attacker grows bolder and Lady Thea is up against the clock. Can she identify the criminal before Molly’s life goes out of style?

Wonderful conclusion!

Wonderful conclusion!
Happy Publication Day! It's always a treat getting to visit Lady Thea's world. Each book has been more charming than the last. We return now to Fletcher's, now owned by Molly, and in true Lady Thea fashion, things go amiss. At least this time she's got a team behind her. I love the friendships and relationships in this series, particularly James and Thea's. Their connection is built upon more in this book. And then there's Thea's somewhat vague relationship with Thayne that's been a treat to watch evolve since this first book. The chemistry of all of them is superb. It was interesting to finally see Thea at home. This is the first of her books to be featured in London. Being home doesn't ground her at all, which makes this mystery as fascinating as the others she's investigated. An added bonus in these stories are the fashions of the time, and with Fletcher's involved, this book surpasses the others in this category. As always, such a wonderful story. I look forward to whatever Jessica Baker writes next.

They are not long and not complicated…..they have charming characters (except the bad guys), cats, a touch of blossoming romance (no sex), mysteries to solve, evil doers doing evil deeds (no graphic violence), no cliffhanger endings, and no editing issues to annoy me. Just the sort of book to curl up in a comfy chair with a cup of tea and spend a quiet bit of time solving a mystery.
I thoroughly enjoy reading them and wish there was a a 4th book.

I enjoyed this book, very much. Lady Thea is a very interesting character and her supporting characters are interesting, too. The plot is easily followed and the premise is a good one. I definitely recommend this book.

I adore Lady Thea and thoroughly enjoy her escapades. There are several editing errors where blocks of content are repeated, which is a bit distracting and degrades the reading experience.

Murder seems to follow Lady Thea much to her dismay. While in her friends department store Thea finds the body of an store employee, why was he killed, how is this murder connected to the attacks on Thea's friend. This fast pace story keeps you entertained and the interplay between characters is well written. Very enjoyable book and series.
