Moving Mountains: A Post-Apocalyptic, Dystopian Series (The Survivor Diaries Book 3) Kindle Edition
I’m Laura, and I juggle it all; family, new love, pregnancy, and my job’s hella demanding. Oh, and I do it all in the snow-drenched, post-apocalypse of global nuclear war. My job is keeping my people alive.
WE HAVE FINALLY MADE IT TO OUR PROMISED GARDEN OF EDEN ONLY TO FIND IT NEVER REALLY EXISTED.
From the ashes of the old world, evil has risen. I toyed with it—I wasn’t ready—and it’s plunged me into a downward spiral towards blinding darkness. Now, I might be losing the one thing that makes me a leader; my humanity.
And that evil has set off a chain reaction. A clan of Wanderers might be on their way to take everything we have built, or perhaps to implode the Village with their basic needs: food, water, and shelter.
JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOU GOT THE HANG OF THE APOCALYPSE …

- Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2015The third book in the series was just as good as the first two. Extremely compelling and very hard to put down. It is indeed a page-turner. Lynn not only lets you delve into Laura's viewpoint and life, but the other characters are developed so well. It is like watching an amazing science fiction tv show! I even have found myself hoping it does become a series, and considering actors to play each of the main characters. There is great scientific knowledge, there is romance, jealousy, and a study on societal development. There are realistic struggles and solutions to what the villagers face.
Although it ended on such a cliff note that I feel slightly bruised from the fall! Lynn, hurry up and finish the 4th book!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2015I don't know how to review this third book in the series. I have not been able to put the series down from book one.
Read from the first to the last and enjoy them.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2015I have loved this series from book one and, if Lynn Lamb wrote a dozen books in the series, I'd buy every one of them. They're that fantastic. The Survivor Diaries are so lifelike, with characters you immediately love, some that grow on you, and others you eagerly await their demise. The leader of the survivors is so cleaver that I'm often amazed by how she resolves the communities everyday problems. She doesn't just consider the process but the physiological affects of her decisions, something we wish all leaders would include in their decision making. This is a great series and I can't wait for the next story.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2015Each book Lynn Lamb comes out with gets better and better. After reading the first two in this series and feeling emotionally connected to the characters, it was hard to put this book down once I started! This has all the elements of a great novel - an intriguing setting, character development, unexpected plot twists, conflict and (creative) resolution, compelling themes laced throughout, and a cliffhanger that keeps you wanting more. I highly recommend this book (especially if you've read the first two)! Bravo, Ms. Lamb!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2023So much is packed into this third book of the Survivor Diaries. The locales around the Central California Coast make it seem so real to a local Californian.
This is a series I return to every couple of years and reread.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2016This go-around seemed to not have me on the edge of my seat like the other volumes. But still a good read and I will keep going with the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2016This series has drawn me in. It is told from the point of view of a smart woman who really believes in the goodness of people. I find it refreshing after so much horror from other dystopias. Of course, her belief in humans doesn't preclude the stupidness and outright evil that people can be capable of. The first three books have filled me with hope that we are not doomed as a species.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2014Well, Lynn Lamb has done it again. She left me totally unprepared for the ending and I'm thinking now what do I do until book four comes out. I was so involved in this story I didn't see "the end" coming. I don't usually get overly emotional when reading books but the author here clearly has what it takes to make you feel like you are squarely in the middle of this adventure and emotions are part of that. And talk about surprises in the story line wow, I guess I just have to wait. Well done

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read
I have now read all four books in the series. I read them back to back as I longed to know how the story would pan out. Give it a go, it's worth it.
