Mrs. February (The Calendar Girl Duet Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 169 ratings

Is it possible to find your happily ever after if the past keeps coming back to haunt you?

It took three years, but Rain and Chase finally exchanged vows on a sandy beach as the sun rose over the Atlantic Ocean.

Happiness was theirs. But when jealousy and indiscretion threaten to unravel their tightly knit union, Rain finds herself fighting an elusive adversary—and losing.

At first blinded by love, Chase begins to encounter triggers that set him up for a fall. Opening his eyes to the truth is painful, but if he’s to survive, it’s his only option. Even if it hurts like hell.

Past experiences and present interference have a tendency to distort things, so what we think we see, might not really be true at all.

Sometimes you just need to close your eyes in order to hear what your heart has been telling you all along.

And then let it lead you home.

Mrs. February is the dramatic conclusion to the Calendar Girl duet.

I really enjoyed the first book, Miss February, but the story's conclusion in the second book just blew me away! Karen Cimms' writing flows with an ease that makes for a very enjoyable read every time. Mrs. February has great momentum; it had me in tears both happy and sad, and had me holding my breath a few times. I may have even yelled at a page or two. I adore the heroine now even more and I'm still mad at one character. In the end, my heart was thoroughly satisfied. I'm a big fan of all of Karen Cimms' books. But warning, once you begin you will not be able to put them down until the ride comes to a complete and full stop.

I don't even know where to start with this one. This book was a tough one to read, I'm not going to lie. It just goes to show what jealousy, mistrust and lack of communication can do to a relationship. There were many times I wanted to slap both Chase and Rain. It all worked out in the end, with a few surprises here and there. Job well done Miss Karen, job well done.

Karen Cimms gives good angst. She is brilliant at writing characters that while they may be flawed they are still lovable and redeemable. There were times that I could shake the characters for their stupid decisions and other times when I could breathe a sigh of relief. In the end Chase and Rain’s story is a story of love, forgiveness, and happily ever after (the real kind, not the fairy tale stuff).

Again I was not disappointed in Karen Cimm's writing. I was pulled into Rain's and Chase's world. Story moved along quickly as well as my frustration over these two characters. I wanted to smack them both in the head. Love the writing style and the story. Karen Cimm's is moving up as one of my favorite romance authors. I can't wait for her next book.

I really am at a loss of words.
This duet had a bit of everything.
I don't want to give anything away, but just know this is an angsty love story,
Not just for another but self love.
Well written, character driven, well edited.
Good job Ms. Cimms, good job!

I am so glad I bought Miss February and Mrs. February at the same time. The wait would have killed me if I couldn't jump right back into the story! Karen Cimms has a way of writing characters you love even when you want to, as my dad used to say, bang their heads together.

I wanted to whack Chase over the head at the way he was behaving towards Rain. It shows hows things can escalate and get out of hand at making bad decisions based on assumptions that caused a lot of unnecessary heartache. This story tied my stomach in anxious knots over the angst and turmoil involved while reading it. The author certainly puts her characters and her readers through the emotional wringer to get to the HEA but we do get there and it was a lovely and perfect ending to this duet.
