About the Author

Debbie McGowan is an award-winning author of contemporary fiction that celebrates life, love and relationships in all their diversity. Since the publication in 2004 of her debut novel, Champagne—based on a stage show co-written and co-produced with her husband—she has published many further works—novels, short stories and novellas—including two ongoing series: Hiding Behind The Couch (a literary ‘soap opera’ centring on the lives of nine long-term friends) and Checking Him Out (LGBTQ romance). Debbie has been a finalist in both the Rainbow Awards and the Bisexual Book Awards, and in 2016, she won the Lambda Literary Award (Lammy) for her novel, When Skies Have Fallen: a British historical romance spanning twenty-three years, from the end of WWII to the decriminalisation of homosexuality in 1967. Through her independent publishing company, Debbie gives voices to other authors whose work would be deemed unprofitable by mainstream publishing houses.

Gay romance--sometimes with a sprinkle of romance, sometimes with a dash of horror, sometimes with a pinch of paranormal, and sometimes a mix of it all. Ofelia Gränd is Swedish which often shines through in her stories. She likes to write about everyday people ending up in not-so-everyday situations, and hopefully also getting out of them. She writes contemporary and paranormal and dreams about one day writing a post-apocalyptic story--if that ever happens we'll see. Her books are written for readers who want to take a break from their everyday life for an hour or two. When Ofelia manages to tear herself from the screen and sneak away from husband and children she likes to take walks along the coastline and watch the sea. She's recently discovered the miracle of podcasts and spends her strolls listen to wise people talk. Subscribe to Ofelia's Mailing List! https://is.gd/3n1tCK

Hans M Hirschi has been writing stories since childhood. As an adult, the demands of corporate life put an end to his fiction for more than twenty years. A global executive in training, he has traveled the world and published several non-fiction titles as well as four well-received novels. The birth of his son provided him with the opportunity to rekindle his love of creative writing, where he expresses his deep passion for a better world through love and tolerance. Hans lives with his husband and son on a small island off the west coast of Sweden.

Laura Susan Johnson has been writing since the age of eleven, cutting her teeth on stories of the family dogs and cats. She has written two novels: CRUSH and BRIGHT and three short stories, BURDENS, OUR HOUSE and COLD FOOT. All of these projects are now available here at Smashwords. CRUSH is also available in print at Beaten Track Publishing. She is currently working on another short story entitled OLD CARS and recently completed her second novel, BRIGHT. She lives in Idaho, Oregon, Arkansas and California. Inspired by gay couples she took care of in her career as a hospice nurse, Laura Susan began penning her novel CRUSH in August 2010. Laura Susan has applied much of her own life experience to her characters in CRUSH and BRIGHT. She is now working on her third novel, ARMOUR (Aug. 2016).

A. M. Leibowitz is a spouse, parent, feminist, and book-lover falling somewhere on the Geek-Nerd Spectrum. She keeps warm through the long, cold western New York winters by writing romantic plot twists and happy-for-now endings.

Phetra often refers to herself as the odd man out, the dorky book nerd who rather spend her time with a good book or making up fantastic stories with even more fantastic characters, than live in the real world dealing with real people. The real world is strange, in a very non humorous way, and people in it complicates it to the point of wearing you out. In the world of the written word, no matter if it is in someone else's words or that of her own things might get busy, complicated, and sometime even plain painful, but somewhere along the line there is always a hero on the horizon. He might not be prime or proper, a church going pretty boy since the author prefer rebellious men and women who don't follow the protocols of society. One of her favorite saying are that only dead fish follow the stream and well she ain't no dead fish. Phetra live together with her family, two children, a domestic partner and their two cats in Gothenburg, Sweden and when reading her books you will notice that she always finds a way of bringing her on culture into her books. The joy of writing and reading comes from her childhood and is something she has always loved, something she is passionate to share with others. Phetra loves hearing from her readers even with ideas of what they want to come next. If you are looking for her, the best place to start looking is at home in the quietest corner of the house, where she'll be curled up with either her Kindle reading or with her laptop typing away.

Jem Roche-Walker was born in Norwich and moved to the North West in order to attend Edge Hill University, studying Social Work Studies. After studying she began working in rehabilitation for patients with acquired brain injuries and has spent the last 7 years writing her first novel, 'Knights of the Sun', published 2013 (Beaten Track). She lives in Burscough with her wife and baby girl and loves spending family time with them.

Always an avid reader and colorful dreamer, it was only a matter of time before taking pen to paper, oftentimes literally. Every story I write has a song or theme, sometimes both, that encompass them because I'm a firm believer in every song tells a story and every story has a song. I sing under my breath, tap my toes and swing my hips, much to the delight of my co-workers and friends. I freely admit that becoming a romance author is the best mid-life crisis a girl could ever have. I'm an: Anachronist, Coffee Lover, Daughter/Dancer, Friend/Fighter, Jewish, Khazar, Lover/Leader, Mother/Medievalist, Novice/Nightowl, Opinionated, Pharmacist, Romantic/Reenactor, Sister/Scout, Traveler, Visionary, Wife/Writer
