About the author

Hi there everyone. I’m Cree Storm. I’m a sister, a mom, a grandmother and a wife. I am the luckiest woman alive as far as I’m concerned. I have a beautiful family and know if times get hard I have my soul mate right there to help me through it. What makes my life even better is being able to do what I love for a living. I have always had a great imagination and being able to bring those characters to life for you makes my heart and soul sing.
Although I traveled some as a military brat and lived in places like Germany, New York, Pennsylvania and New Mexico, I have found myself settling in Quebec, Canada with my husband. I love being surrounded by nature and wildlife and there is nothing like sitting and watching the birds, squirrels and chipmunks fluttering around my yard or traveling around Canada and finding my mind creating worlds for you all to enjoy. Life is good and I just want to bring some of my happiness into your life and hopefully make you smile, laugh and get away from everyday stress. Hugs and Love to you all and I hope you enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2018Hron is a strong yet empathetic leader. He arrives at his new clutch and finds his Vista. After 200 years he has been gifted with a mate (vista). He must take his time and prove himself trustworthy and loving .
Petree is a loving soul who has been ruthlessly abused and torchored. When he is saved from death he must heal and learn how to trust again.
They fight for there relationship and there clutch. The battle for sanity and trust teaches them patients. This is an emotionally touching story. I can't wait for the next installment!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2019First book in this series had excitement, action, intrigue, pathos, humor and romance. The world of Nakata gargoyles is unique and creative work by Cree Storm. Storm has come up with a band of characters that are sympathetic and draws a reader's interest into their lives and particularities. Watching progress as the clutch recovers and becomes better than ever is a treat in its beginning stage. Ongoing mystery of identifying and protecting against the bad guys kept me reading and looking forward to the next book in this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2018This author is a guaranteed must read for me. I love her characters. I was so happy to see Petree's happy ending. I can't wait to see what happens next.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2020Fascinating world, I am curious to learn what is next. The thing I couldn't get past was the saccharine preachy dialogue. Some of the characters were abused and tortured, and while there were no active scenes, they did talk about it in detail. It's pretty heavy. And yes they did say it was a couple weeks, but as soon as someone gave a pretty long explanation about why Pea was feeling some type of way, just a few minutes later, Pea suddenly can help another character with his emotional issues due to the torture in yet another long preachy way. There were also 2 long winded comparisons to women suffering from breast cancer that I felt were unnecessary, but obviously this is something important to the author, I just felt they were out of place.
There is also, if I remember right, in the beginning it is said Hron's tail is scorpion like, but during the claiming it says his tail is lion like. This is important because the tail is important to the claiming, so how could you mess up that detail. A final edit should have been done by a person who never read the story because words were missing and made some sentences hard to understand.
There is a bit of a baby cliff hanger at the end, as far as continuing the storyline. I do think this world is fascinating with the ancients and the Nakaka, and the Gods, even though I think the way the Gods punished them for trying to survive is a little excessive. So, I am gonna try the next book in this series, but if it continues the way this book did, I won't read anymore.

Petree is a protector, but when his efforts appear to be for naught he struggles. Hron is surprised by his fathers’ request to take over a clutch. He never expected his own clutch or a mate. But with his new home, he finds both. Unfortunately, his mate is currently fragile and believes he is weak and unworthy. Can Hron show Petree just how strong he is?
On a Wing and a Prayer is first in Cree Storm’s new series, Nakaka. I really enjoyed meeting Hron and Petree. Petree has suffered. He continues to suffer even though he has been freed from captivity. Even as his body heals his mind keeps him mired within the humiliation he suffered. Will Petree be able to step into the future? Ms. Storm did not make it easy for Petree. Even as he walks free his mind refuses to let go of past hurts. Ms. Storm did not lessen the battle the Petree must fight. And even though he is not alone and has support he must make the choice to grab hold of a future in the light. I loved that Hron tried to give Petree everything he could. He saw Petree as his gift and he was determined to fight for their future. I appreciated that Ms. Storm helped Hron realize that while he could support this was a battle Petree must choose to fight. But while Petree was struggling, Ms. Storm gave him a mate that was patient. He was willing to wait and be who and what Petree needed to move beyond the pain of his captivity. I love that Hron saw Petree’s strength. He refused to see Petree as a victim. He struggled to understand how to help Petree but he still made the effort. I love that Hron was willing to do whatever was necessary to support Petree as he regained his sense of self. I loved seeing Hron and Petree’s journey. This story touched on a sensitive subject in a respectful way. It was well written and believable. I am looking forward to seeing where Ms. Storm will take us next in this new world she is creating.
Five Shooting Stars
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2019This book is a great story. It had some triggers for me but then I am a survivor of abuse, I say survivor because we are all survivors. We did not let the abusers win so we are not victims. I loved that there was no instant fix for Peatree and the others, there was strife and struggles, but the healing process has started with the love of the Nakaka and their Viatas. The clutch as a whole is moving in the right direction in learning to live their lives despite the fear of the unknown with the new Caliph and inner circle. Cree did a very good job writing a story with abuse and not sugar coat it .
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2019These are the Gargoyles found in previous books. However, they are just as sexy and extremely alluring.
I loved Hron's dedication to his Gods and his people. The underground world his new clutch lives in was described in a way that had me envisioning it like I was watching it in a movie.
Petree had me in tears a lot. He has heart, loyalty and courage I could only dream of.
This story had me from page one! Can't wait for more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It
I loved this book the characters were ones I empathised with, Hron the caliph and petree his viata (mate) who showed his bravery after being tortured by the previous caliph by taking a leap of faith to become the viata to Hron, I also loved the quirky characters of Nug and Jory they made me laugh out loud so in my opinion this is looking like another winning series for Cree can't wait for the next one

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed
I haven't read a story about gargoyles before & I must say I enjoyed this one.
There is a lot of trauma recovery, so heed the warnings in the blurb.
Lost a star as it needs a touch more editing.
