Hi there everyone. I’m Cree Storm. I’m a sister, a mom, a grandmother and a wife. I am the luckiest woman alive as far as I’m concerned. I have a beautiful family and know if times get hard I have my soul mate right there to help me through it. What makes my life even better is being able to do what I love for a living. I have always had a great imagination and being able to bring those characters to life for you makes my heart and soul sing.

Although I traveled some as a military brat and lived in places like Germany, New York, Pennsylvania and New Mexico, I have found myself settling in Quebec, Canada with my husband. I love being surrounded by nature and wildlife and there is nothing like sitting and watching the birds, squirrels and chipmunks fluttering around my yard or traveling around Canada and finding my mind creating worlds for you all to enjoy. Life is good and I just want to bring some of my happiness into your life and hopefully make you smile, laugh and get away from everyday stress. Hugs and Love to you all and I hope you enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them.

    I love this series. I love the characters and the story line. Be warned these are books of people overcoming traumatic experiences. Elijah is a human in a paranormal world. After being rescued from the clutches of the evil man he tries to rebuild his life. Khall is a Nakaka warrior he's seen first hand the damage his soul mate has suffered. Elijah tries to keep it all in he really does but that isn't helping him heal. All Khall what's is Eli to heal but he is a warrior and it's beyond his powers to slay these demons.

    Elijah went through on of the most awful things a person can through. Thankfully he had his family, his friends and his music help him deal with it all. And more importantly, he had his Viata, Khall. Khall is so supportive and patient with Elijah and what he went through.

    The story ends in a cliffhanger. I don’t like that!!!!! Now I can’t wait to see what happens with Topaz, Dak and Jade!

    Elijah is struggling with all he suffered as a prisoner of the Nakaka. He puts on a good front that no one is buying. Can he accept his past and grab hold of his future?
    Taking Back His Life is second in Cree Storm’s Nakaka series. Khall knows Elijah is his. But Elijah needs space and time. His time as a prisoner stole more than he is comfortable sharing. He pretends nothing has changed when in reality everything has. He is fighting the wrong battle as he attempts to regain his sense of self-worth. I love Khall’s patience as Elijah battles his demons. I love that Khall is willing to fight for Elijah. Even if Khall is unsure what Elijah needs he will support him however necessary. I loved seeing Elijah blossom with his club. Even as Elijah fought his demons he brought happiness to the clutch. I enjoyed seeing the joy he brought through song and dance. I enjoyed seeing Elijah face his demons head on. He battled his fear. He battled his nature. He grabbed a future with Khall.
    Ms. Storm gave us a story which touches upon sensitive issues. She does so with a deft touch. I enjoyed seeing these characters fight for acceptance even as they continue the fight against evil. The evil that has invaded their world. I am enjoying this series by Ms. Storm and can’t wait to see where she will take us next.

    I liked this book a bit more than I did the first one in the series. While Elijah and the rest of 6 who were held captive are still dealing with the aftermath, the tone of the book was a bit more upbeat than the first book. I really liked both Elijah and Khall and thought they went well together. My biggest gripe was the book ended in a massive cliffhanger. If I had known this, I probably would have waited until the next book was out before starting this one. Still, it was a good book and if you enjoyed the first one, I think you will enjoy this one.

    This was a nice second book in the series. They do need to be read in order. I love the different characters and the gentle way the author deals with trauma whilst keeping things positive and injecting humour to balance out the dark.
