Nature Wizard Box Set: Magic of Nasci Books #1-5 Kindle Edition
Only I bring the lightning.
I love protecting our fragile Earth against the supernatural predators that teleport into our world to feed. The monsters can be big and scary (imagine an aquatic panther the size of an elephant) or small and vicious (poisonous beaver crocodiles are no joke), but they all need to go back to their dimension.
And I’m just the goddess-blessed druid to send them packing.
Read the first five stories in this unique not-so-urban fantasy:
- 1: Chasing Lightning
- 2: Breathing Water
- 3: Running into Fire
- 4: Shattering Earth
- 5: Soaring in Air
An action-packed fantasy series with a slow-burn romance, join lightning shepherd Ina on an adventure that explores the secret magic hidden deep within Earth’s untamed wild places.

About the author

DM Fike wanted desperately to become a superhero growing up. Barring that, she would have enjoyed riding a unicorn or at least meeting a fairy. Since none of that happened, she decided to write books about everyday people discovering magic through a series of epic adventures. She’s currently living out her own happily-ever-after with her husband and two wonderful children in Oregon.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2022Chasing Lightning by DM Fike is an urban fantasy about nature wizards working in secret to dispel the creatures from an adjacent dimension trying to feed on the bounty of nature available on earth.
Ina is our local snarky adept, or eyas, being initiated into this task (and by the way, teaching the reader what is what in this new, secret environment of which normal human beings are blissfully unaware).
In the enclosed series of five books the reader is taken on a adventure second to none as to how dangerous nature wizarding can be.
And loving it.
Enjoy
- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2022Quick moving story that has a different and refreshing twist to the hero and her trials. Yes predictable in parts but still a fun read and satisfying conclusion. I also enjoyed the detailed information on the location having lived and hiked the area.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2022This series of books really sent me through a lot of emotions. Frustration at some of the characters' reactions, delightful laughter at others. In other words, it was a fun read. Many thanks to the author.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2022A little slow in places but power through. You’ll be glad you did. Supernatural humans on a mission with all the pitfalls of the human condition. Never give up! Hold to the highest ideal!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2022A slow start -- but well worth the perservesance. Great ending. I hope she writes a sequel, I will definately read it. I will be recommending this series and this author to my friends and family.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2022The magic, setting, idea and most everything about the series is good, but the love story between Ina and Vincent is just pure cringe and cliche that the books are unreadable after about 1.75 books in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Didn't expect to ...
Didn't expect to like these books, and really shouldn't have. Looked to be lightweight schoolgirl stuff. BUT I thoroughly enjoyed them. Writer has a seemingly superficial style, but it's actually well delivered and keeps the attention - extremely readable in fact. I binged the lot. At first I thought all the odd terminology was a bit silly, but with a bit of research found them all to be derived from various mythologies. All in all, these books challenged my preconceptions and prejudices. Only negative was the tentative attempt to bring in romance - didn't work at all (don't these characters have hormones?)
