3.9 out of 5 stars 91 ratings

Once upon a time Snowy Whitaker lived the dream life. Prince Charming style husband, two kids, white picket fence and a life spent with her head buried in the sand. The quintessential picturesque fairytale.

Her prince turned out to be a criminal frog who looks wonderful in stripes. But now she's homeless, penniless and begging on the doorstep of the one place she swore to never return. The palace owned by her wicked stepmother.

She'll do whatever it takes to get out her dungeon, even if it means showing a little skin.

Happy with his single life, Royal Princeps is blown away by the shy, quiet woman with the huge doe eyes who crashes into him while visiting the seven brothers he met in college. But nothing stuns him more than the new web show his buddies are talking about.

She needs the money, he wants her.

One relationship built on secrets and lies is all Snowy can handle so Royal may be her true White Knight but the skeletons in their closets could destroy it all.

*Inspired by Snow White
**Never After is a fairytale parody novella infused with slap-stick humor, curse words and everything that can go wrong when your happy ever after takes a sharp turn sideways.

Billie Dale lives in no-where middle earth. Lost in a small village in the Midwest with four kids, three animals and an amazing, word inspiring-book boyfriend, worthy husband.

A blogger by nature and a writer because she got tired of arguing with the voices in her head. She loves and lives the words on the page, whether writing them or reading them; her life is consumed by the worlds her head creates.

Her greatest wish is for readers to fall in love with her words as much as she loves writing them. She loves to create new worlds to explore and writing words that will take root in your soul.

Paranormal, New Adult, Romantic Comedy, Contemporary — there is not one box she fits in. She’s a rebel in the author world who writes what her head tells her even it jumps from genre to genre.

Never After is one of the cutest, funniest, original fairytale retellings I've ever read! The way Billie Dale seamlessly incorporated modern real life to fairytales has me begging for more! After learning her prince was really a con man, Snowy takes to doing whatever she can to make money and help her two kids. After meeting Elsa, Snowy and her decide on a plan and all it involves is a mask, a video camera, and some moans.

I laughed so hard throughout this novella. For the first time ever I wish it was more than a novella. Not because it feels unfinished, but because I honestly wanted more from this world. I enjoyed everything from the crazy schemes, to the crazy animals, to the romance blooming from Royal and Snowy. Royal is amazing and sexy. He's also very sweet to her kids and an all around great match to Snowy. If you are a fan of fairytales you HAVE to read this one! It's one of the funniest I've read!

After her "fairy tale" marriage fell apart leaving Snowy with two teen age children and no place to go but to her evil stepmothers, she finds her backbone and hires out to seven brothers as their pig stye, whoops, house cleaner. Then she meets their friend Royal, and her new friend Elsa and the ice flies,a and so does some heat. The author has a talent for off the wall humor, but needs to do a bit of fine tuning with a proofreader to bring this saucy story up to perfection. Well worth your time as is though.

I love the concept of this series but there is something about it that is off and doesn't sit right. I'm chalking it up to being a new series and the author is still finding her footing with it. The characters are interesting and I like how she is trying to fit fairy tale characters into the modern world. I just wish the stories themselves flowed better.

This is a very fun take on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Snowy's life has fallen apart, and she and her teenagers end up living with the evil step-mother. When she crashes into Royal at her housekeeping job, things start to get interesting for her.

A good short story, and left lots to explore further in other books. But for a full book, which this is billed as, there was a lack of character development for most of the characters. The only one who was fleshed out well was Snowy.

I do not recommend reading this at 2am when you’re trying to get your baby back to sleep! I seriously choked!!!
Otherwise, I definitely recommend this story. It’s hilarious and fun to see how she twists the characters we grew up with!
