The short? You got it.

I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.

How was that?

A little more detail? Gotcha.

I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.

My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as they have a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.

Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

On my god. I am loving these guys so much. I'm normally not really into more open relationships in the books I read but I can't get enough of these guys. I keep wanting to turn the page to see what was coming next. Even when I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. I love the sweetness between Josh and Indy and I love how Josh's relationship with Noah is evolving but most of all, I loved seeing Connor become part of them. When he first came to the house to talk to Josh, my heart broke for him. He put himself out there and got crushed but Josh knew what he wanted and went after him. I loved seeing them communicate with each other. It was refreshing. And when Connor suddenly dropped his pants in front of Josh, my jaw hit the floor. I love those lighter moments. They add so much to the story. I also love how perfect Connor is for Josh. He reads Josh so well. Watching him to all dominant on Josh was hot as heck. These guys burn up the page every single time. And those scenes with Master Mark...wow!!! I thought my Kindle would combust. And the emotional aspect of this book is incredible. I loved seeing Josh and Connor fall in love each other but seeing Connor fit in so seamlessly with Noah and Indy and seeing the bond between all of them grow was the best part of the book.

Both Josh and Connor want someone who won't judge them. O'boy, do they fit together!! But what about Noah? What happens when he need Josh to help him with his problem? Would Connor understand? Could he?

I can't seem to think anything other than how much I loved this book!! I didn't think it could be better after reading No Filter, but boy was I wrong!! I really loved it!! It was so beautifully written, so thoroughly. So much love and acceptance....heartwarming!

This book left me with a book hangover that has yet to be cured. There are so many small stories going on that it will keep you wondering and flipping long into the night.

Although we get into the relationship of Josh and Conner, we get more on Indy and Noah. There are also some hints at who is next... These characters are awesome and without using spoilers, I can't say much. The sexy bits are HAWT...and the ease into BDSM here is phenomenal! The development of these guys are constantly moving and adding and peeling back layers. It's a great immersion story.

I literally cannot wait for book 3 and have it marked on my calendar...LoL

This is more of a continuation in the existing story line than the typical romantic series. Yes, there was a little more emphasis on the new couple, but the majority of the story here was about each of the characters and all of them together. It's a very strong, compelling story and very much worth reading.

No Limits is the 2nd in the No Shame series by Nora Phoenix, and a great continuation from the first book No Filter. While we enjoyed the first book, we found editing and story inconsistencies kept us form loving it, Nora Phoenix has ironed out a bot of the story, making No Limits a much easier read.

The yay?
- BDSM: We really enjoyed watching Connor and Josh finding their kinks, and exploring their dominant/submissive relationship. Nora Phoenix spent some time really developing this relationship and not jumping too hardcore into whips and chains. It seems like a natural progression for their relationship, and we loved how it suited and settled Josh.
- Continuation of Story: This is a series; you can’t read this book without reading the last book. We liked that, but it could be a negative.
- Story flow: The story was so much better edited, there was a flow to the events and just didn’t stumble along.

The meh?
- Confusion: We still feel the story was a little confused about what it is trying to be. Erotica, threesome / foursome ménage, hurt comfort, mafia, there is a lot going on. Seem to jump from story line to storyline and it gives us a bit of whiplash.
- The cliffhanger: Just like the end of the first in the series and man it is unsatisfying!
- Story flow: Yes, this was something we enjoyed, but there is so much going on in this book, that sometimes we felt a good editor could streamline a bit more, and deal with the grammatical and word confusion issues.

So many things going on, so many feelings and storyline, so many relationships. We love these boys and feel invested in the series, but a few issues still nagged at us, and ironing out the kinks could really skyrocket this series.

Such an incredible story. This is the second book in the series and concentrates on the love story of Josh and Connor who we met at the end of book one. However, Noah and Indy figure a lot as the three (Josh, Noah and Indy) were already a team before Connor joined with Josh. I really loved the resolution (not final but a resolution anyway) Nora had the four in at the end of this book. Now, on to book three - No Fear!

This is exactly what I had hoped for in the sequel to book 1 - we get to see Connor make his move. Josh and Indy’s relationship is always going to be complex, so seeing the love and desire in Connor to behat Josh needs is an emotional, wonderful read. As usual Nora Phoenix weaves a complex, fulfilling story. Now we wait for to see if Aaron can find his own forgiveness and happiness in the next book.

This story conutines after the last book. Again its beautifully written and keeps you glued to the pages. The emotions of Josh and Connor and the connection the make is gorgeous as a couple but as a Dom and Sub. Joshua has PDSD and was living with freinds with benefits with Noah and his boyfriend Indy.  Months back Josh was involved in a robbery which left him with side affects also his past in the military.
It was there he meets Officer O'Connor. Since then he hadn't heard anything from him and becoming a surprise when turns up at Josh's door leaving him speachless.
Connor arrived to ask Josh out on a date but doesn't go well. 4 days later Josh goes to Connor's work.. What happens next is an amazing story for them all.

I do like this author's world building in her books as you get to find out more and more as this story unfolds.
Off to download the next book as i am addicted to all these guys and what is happening.

I need to openly state BDSM makes me uncomfortable, I'd read BDSM from others before and enjoyed some of them, others I did not. I enjoyed No Filter because it only introduces Josh and his need to submit, this goes not exactly all in but enough that I was uncomfortable. I read No Limits to finish the duology. I'm glad I did but I wouldn't have read it by choice and won't be reading it again.

The story is fairly straightforward but does continue with the pleasant way of revealing backstory and trauma. The characters are likeable. Connor and Josh are perfect together but as I said not my thing, I speed read their scenes it was too much. Indy and Noah as a couple continue and get complicated, Indy's past catches up (and not just his trauma).

There is something satisfying about the interconnectedness of the cast. Not just the main two couples but some of the support cast. The arrival of No Fear protagonist Aaron as interesting and unexpected though I have no interest in reading that story. The No Shame series is a well-written series touching on topics that aren't easy to read with strong men just trying to find their path and living as they want not beholden to the expectations or pressures of the world around them. But I think I've reached my limit, I looked at the tags for what is coming at it simply doesn't float my boat. But it does always seem to be what it is in the blurb if the blurb appeals give it a shot.

Wow just wow. I thoroughly enjoyed No Filter and No limits was amazing. Some super hot scenes between Connor and Josh. We also catch up with Indy and Noah. Would recommend both books and I am impaitently waiting for the next instalment.
