The Nut Low: A Small Town Romance (A Good Run Of Bad Luck Book 6) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 806 ratings

The Nut Low is book 6 in the series A Good Run Of Bad Luck and is recommended to be read in order.

Jo

After two years in this town, I hoped I'd find someone to spend my life with.

Or at least warm my bed.

With only the shelter and my two Mafioso best friends, sometimes a girl just needs to get laid.

And there's one man at the bar that checks all my boxes.

He's sexy, makes my heart speed up, and makes me tingle in all the right places.

And when one night turns into an undetermined amount of time, a girl starts to hope for more.

But he has secrets he's not willing to share, and they could tear us apart.

Mason

I was one of the golden boys around town.

But that all changed the night my brother died. I left, hoping to find myself, or something like that.

Instead, I found a best friend and a fiancé. Life was great, until once again it all blew up in my face.

I was beginning to think I was jinxed.

So, I came home.

I had no plans, no next step.

And then I met her, and life changed once again.

New Blurb:

The day I strolled into town, I thought for sure I wouldn’t stick around.

The plan was to take care of business and disappear again.

No one in the town would miss me.

I left when I was young, just barely an adult.

My brother died and that was it. I couldn’t take it at home any longer. I needed to go out and find myself.

So, that’s what I did.

I found a best friend and a fiancé, and everything was great until it all blew up in my face.

Life changed once again, and I moved on.

But this town hasn’t.

The people are just as nosy as the day I left. There’s even a running pool about what I do for a living.

And things got worse when I started hanging out with Jo.

She didn’t ask questions or demand anything from me. A good time and a place to stay was all she was offering.

But it turned out to be the lifeline I needed to get back on track.

That should have been my first clue that my life was about to implode once again.

Another great read by Giula. I have read each and every one of her books and love how she interjects humor into each one and great characters.

This book brings Jo and Mason together in this installation of the A Small Town Romance (A Good Run Of Bad Luck Books).
Jo runs an animal shelter on Antonio and Ciera's property and Mason just rolls into town with no car and only a backpack which gets many of the town folks gossiping.

They have an immediate connection and try to build on it, but both have secrets that affects their relationship.

Of course, Antonio is always an addition to her books with his grumpy self.

It also includes the rest of the crazy people in the town and the Town Facebook page that adds to the storyline.

Even the guys and gals from Reed Security make a cameo appearance (another great series if you haven't read it yet).

I was hoping for a HEA, but it didn't quite happen (yet). My hope is that Jo and Mason will come back together in the next book and if not, then hopefully they will each find their HEA.

This book had me in tears, both happy and sad and I would highly recommend it. I can't wait for the next book in the series to find out what happens with the rest of the characters, Jake (Plaid Man) and Finn (Muffin Man).

Ok. I’ll start by saying that this is an excellent addition to the series. I loved getting to know Jo and Mason. It was great seeing the guys pop in. But then I will go on to say…what the actual duck!?! I’m not happy. Nope. I’m stomping around my living room. Why must Giulia write such amazing characters that I’m so invested in their happiness?

Well I didn’t see that one coming! Very unusual for an ending like that from this author. It was a great story just different from others in this series. I hope we see more of Jo and Mason.
This series has some hard life lessons that from time to time you need to be reminded of .

I love these books but I'm not happy about this ending why didn't they get together why I mean come on mason be real jo is for you get it together man get her she's the one

Jo is incredible. I have been waiting for her happily ever after. I think I she has been the strongest woman yet. Del in love with a married man and walked away when she found out. She's been on her own since her parents were killed and now has Antonio and Ciarra for her family.

Mason was the wild card in this. I mean I've been pulling for Jake, but I know he'll find his happily ever after, then the muffin man showed up.....But still Mason was the one, only he's not? I'm so confused....I loved the story except my heart breaks for Jo.

Wow Mason and Jo's love story was so intense. They hooked up and fell in love. Obstacles got in the way, trust not listening to each other. Making up their own conclusion.

Lots of laughter At times I could not stop laughing because of the situation was so hilarious. Many heart breaking parts too. Antonio and the Sheriff were so funny great addition to the story line. They were there for both of them.

I'm surprised at the ending I hope their love story continues I believe their love never dies because it is true love.

Thank you Giulia for a great addition to the series.
    Look forward to Jake's adventure!!

Not the usual ending. Once again sad, funny, serious and silly. New characters in the mix add a little something.

I was so frustrated with Mason. He was like a spoiled child that only saw his way or nothing. He refused to listen. And he ruined a good thing with Jo. I'm glad they both got growth out of this but wished for a different ending. But I guess it's like life, not every relationship gets a HEA but there's always something to learn. I have my fingers crossed for a followup.
