One Hot Italian Summer: A Single Dad Romance Kindle Edition
An author finds inspiration in Tuscany in the form of a hot Italian single dad... This summer is going to be a scorcher.
A writer who's blocked--I'm a total cliche.
Lucky for me, my agent has a cure that's an even bigger stereotype--a month at her villa in Tuscany, with nothing to do but find my muse.
When he walks right in the front door, adorable son in tow, it feels like fate has finally done for me what it does for every other cliche'd girl I've seen in the movies. Except that he's completely off-limits. In this case, business and pleasure can never mix.
Because Claudio is my agent's ex.
Still, he's smart, charming, and wickedly sexy, plus a great father to Vanni. He's fast becoming the cure to all my writing woes. And it's clear he wants me as much as I want him.
As the hot Italian summer wears on, it becomes harder and harder to resist. Succumbing to the heat even just one time could ruin my career.
Or he could be exactly what I need.

One Hot Italian Summer is everything I needed right now. Now is the time where we are normally enjoying our summer and vacationing, so this book was a great escape for the mind, body and soul.
I was taken from my home and transported to Italy where I got to live with a single dad, who is an artist and has an amazing and smart son. Claudio's a man that has basically lived for his son and his art for years. He loves his family fiercely and is close to them, but he also seems to be missing some part of himself. And then there is Grace. She's lost her writing partner and her will to write. She wants to write, but can't get over her grief. And what if she isn't as successful writing in a genre she's not used to? She feels the weight on her shoulders and doesn't know how to bear it. Maybe staying in Italy will inspire her and her writing.
I just plain outright enjoyed this book. I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting, but I know when I get a Karina Halle book, if she transports me to a different place, she does the location justice and creates a world that I so vividly see. This book is exactly what romance and summer is about. It is an escape from your everyday life that'll make you swoon one moment and make you blush the next. I mean, once we get over the serious sexual tension of this slow burn during the first half, our sex scenes ramp up and are hot AF!!!
"I want to sculpt you. I want to make a copy of your beauty, of your soul, for the world to see.
I enjoyed the progression of the characters, the scenery, the food, the drinks. I felt like I was there with Grace and Claudio navigating their relationship. It hit them from the first time they met (and that meet cute had me laughing and already falling for both characters hard) until the first time they decided to take their relationship a step further. The steam was rising right off the pages with those two. I mean, if you could have a Claudio in your life, trust me... You would want him. He is definitely book boyfriend material. He is a man that knows what he wants and knows how to control the situation in just the right and safe manner for his muse. And Grace is learning to live outside of her partner. She's never really been on her own and seeing her fear stripped away by a man that keeps her safe and is 100% honest and supportive makes her growth as a character that much more beautiful to witness. Add in Claudio's son, Vanni and you have an Italian vacation you never saw coming.
If you're looking for a story that will have you laughing one moment and then enjoying the company of the characters the next followed by biting your lip and blushing after, this is THE summer read for you. With minimal conflict and a great balance of character growth and relationship progression, this romance had everything that this reader needed to take me from my home right to Tuscany!
"I am his, and he is mine. Inspired, desired, and completely in love."
- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2024If you’re looking for a fun read, look no further! I just finished One Hot Italian Summer by Karina Halle, and I am utterly transported. Though I’ve never been to Italy, this book made me feel like I spent a sun-drenched season soaking in the beauty of Tuscany.
The story follows Grace Harper, a writer struggling with grief and creative block after the loss of her best friend and writing partner. Desperate for a change, she takes up her agent’s offer to stay in her Tuscan villa, but what she doesn’t expect is to meet Claudio Romano—her agent’s ex-husband—and his adorable son. From their first meeting, sparks fly, and we get front-row seats to a slow-burn romance that’s swoony, tender, and oh-so-steamy.
This book truly has it all: -A charming, sunlit Tuscan setting that will make you want to pack your bags immediately. -A gorgeous single dad who steals the show with his irresistible charm. -A heartwarming story of rediscovery, healing, and finding inspiration again. -A forbidden romance that will have you rooting for Grace and Claudio with every page.
I adored the pacing, the heartfelt moments, and the right amount of steam to balance out the sweetness. Grace and Claudio’s opposites-attract chemistry is perfection, and their journey feels so genuine and uplifting. Add in a precocious kid and some life-altering Tuscan sunsets, and you have a recipe for the ultimate holiday read!

I completely fell in love with Grace, Claudio and little Vanni. Their story had such a great combination of humor and heart that I was immediately hooked from beginning to end. Then there was undeniable chemistry between Grace and Claudio that just had me swooning throughout the book. Seeing what they had gone through in their personal lives, I couldn't help rooting for them. The way they connected as artists and helped inspire one another was so touching. - Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2024I had fun reading this book. I like the characters a lot. Claudio was an amazing character and dad. Vanni was kind of a smart-ass but i still loved him. Grace was an okay character. There wasn't really anything special about her, but she wasn't boring. I do wish there could've been a better conflict with Jana that lasted longer than only about two chapters. There really wasn't much i didn't like about this book. The only real problem I had was the somewhat long chapters. As someone who hates to stop reading a book in the middle of the chapter, the long chapters always make me get bored with the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A writer and a sculpter romance in Italy!
I have heard a lot of good things about this story and was eager to experience it. It's a gem!
It is set in Tuscany, Italy. Grace is a grieving author from Scotland that is offered a Villa in Tuscany for 4 weeks by her agent Hana, to help get her through her writers block. Surprise when Claudio and his 10 year old son appear telling her the Villa is their home. Turns out Claudio is Jana's Ex-husband oops. The story has charm, chemistry, and us very romantic. Loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heart warming escape! Loved it!
I was in a reading funk and I knew Karina would get me out of it. I love her writing, the flow, the content, the characters dynamic relationships and more than anything her writing makes me want to visit these places. I completely envision myself with the characters and for get that outside its a dreary day in the UK! So thank you Karina. Lucca and Elba island are now more places on my bucket list to visit!! I loved the soft development of this romance. Heartwarming and nurturing. Would love to read more of Grace, Claudio, Vanni and Jana's relationship......hint hint 😉!

4.0 out of 5 stars the perfect holiday romance
This is a book that I would love to read again laying on a beach in the heat with a cocktail in hand. The storyline was sweet and spicy. I love the single dad trope in this and that the leading lady was an author. The writing was great and I’ll probably look at more books in the future.
