Oath of Valor (Personal Protectors Book 3) Kindle Edition
Customers reported quality issues in this eBook. This eBook has: Typos . The publisher has been notified to correct these issues. |
If asked, Elliot Pritchard would say that he has a type, and its name is Trouble. From hookups gone wrong to being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Elliot can’t catch a break. After a brutal attack nearly kills him, he finds himself staying with the last person he ever expected to—Larry.
Complicated doesn’t begin to describe the situation the two men find themselves in, and things only get harder when Elliot witnesses a violent crime and needs Larry’s expertise to keep him alive. Tempers and tension build as Larry and Elliot try to ignore the chemistry burning between them, but they’d have a better chance of finding a snowball in hell. The two men realize they could have something special if not for two important things: Brice’s feelings and a madman with Elliot in his sights.
Oath of Valor is Book 3 of the Personal Protectors series. It is intended for a mature audience with adult situations and language

- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2019Wow Brittany has knocked it out of the park! I have LOVED Elliot from Promise to shield. Just his sass I love it! I recommend the series so the other characters make sense to you but this can still be read as stand alone. We meet back up with Larry and Elliot where Elliot is staying with Larry after what happened in Promise to shield. We learn of a one night encounter that happened between them before Larry and Elliot find out who they have in common. Things happen with Elliot at work and his life becomes a target. Larry the older FBI agent decides to get involved . The sexual tension is thick. SO THICK !!! When Larry tries to oh his foot down the Elliot has the sass and snark for him. With lives in danger and hearts on the line what’s the priority . I loved this whole series but this book takes the cake. Read it !!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2019Larry is used to being undercover. But his past hasn’t prepared him for the reality of Elliott. Cute addition to the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2019Oh my goodness! The personal Protectors series is so awesome! The whole darn series revolves around Larry, Beckett, his uncle Rusty and Carter. There is tons of mystery and very uncomfortable moments when Larry and Elliot go toe to toe over every issue imaginable but when it comes down to it, Larry protects Elliot! Great read and can't wait till the next book comes out!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2019Larry is Brice's dad & Elliot is Brice's Best Friend. Elliott is staying in Larry's house while he's recovering from being stabbed (Personal Protection #2). Larry lets him stay after he recovers so he can save money from his new job. One night, while he was working at the hospital as a switch board operator, he got a weird call. Now his life's in danger!!! Larry has to figure out whose after Elliott & his feelings for him.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2019Much better than the first two in this series. I’m not normally a fan of May-Dec romances, but I like angry men.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2019I loved all three of these books so far! I went from hating Larry to happy he finally got his happy ending with the love of his life and his son back in his life! Truly enjoyed watching it all unfold!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2019I really enjoyed this book as much as the previous ones. I especially loved the quotes at the beginning of each chapter, especially the hospital ones were funny. Can't wait for the next book!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2019This is my first in this series -- I received it as an ARC -- and it's pretty good, all told. A nice balance of tensions is set up. There's the external tension caused by the threat to Elliot Pritchard's life, and there's his contentious personal relationship with Larry Armstrong. The heat between them is a natural result not only of their personalities -- Larry is a hard-nosed curmudgeon and Elliot is snarky and defiant -- but also of their escalating feelings for each other. Neither man is willing to give in until it becomes more than they can resist, and even then they don't admit to the depth of their feelings until push comes to shove, as it were.
The secondary characters add a third layer of interest and provide even greater texture to the story. Nicely done, despite the hiccups, such as Larry's over-the-top grouchiness sometimes, or my question about how they latched on to whodunit, and the speed with which once his identity is discovered, he shows up for the showdown and gets eliminated by Lone Ranger Larry and his Tontos, Ross and Carter. I'm honestly not making fun of it (well, maybe just a lil bit!) because I rather liked the story as a whole. And I'm so glad that even though I don't know every reference to the ones that went before, this book works well as a standalone.

2.0 out of 5 stars I don't know what to think about this one
Elliott lost everything in the last book, his job, his appartement, was tortured and severely injured, because of Carter's enemy and being with Brice at the wrong time, and he had to be grateful, that Larry took him in? Then Carter and Brice took of and Larry was such a cruel jerk in the beginning and he got only worse before he suddenly wasn't a jerk anymore? Yeah, no. The story was good, the characters were well written, but how Larry and Elliott acted towards each other and then suddenly they were in love was not for me, and more than once I wanted to stop reading. I didn't and the showdown was nice, but for me it was too little too late.
