And then the intrigue that surrounds the death of the King adds a bit more spice to the story. Will Alex, the new king and Damon, the guest/ward of a royal family that comes to represent at the coronation be able to come together and resolve the mystery and be safe?

The characters are supported though not well developed. Ends with a hook into the next book, not quite a cliff-hanger, but not the ending one might expect.
