Born and raised around Houston, Jessica is a self proclaimed caffeine addict, connoisseur of inexpensive wine, and the worst driver in the state of Texas. In addition to being all of these things, she’s first and foremost a wife and mom.
Growing up, she shared her mom and grandmother’s love of reading. But where they leaned toward murder mysteries, Jessica was obsessed with all things romance.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2018Camden Knight lived up to my expectations. I have been dying for his story ever since I first met him in the Civil Corruption series.
Camden's one night stand with a nameless woman he picked up in a bar comes back to haunt him. Big time. Unbeknown to him she had secretly filmed the whole encounter. And when she didn't get the call she thought she would she released their night together. When it blows up and Camden is confronted with the nightmare of his sex life splashed everywhere is bad enough but because Camden is a Dominant it makes it so much worse. With Tate his manager in damage control they have to come up with something that will appeal to the public. Enter in Sutton.
Sutton works wth Tate as her assistant. When she is drawn into the drama it's not what she thought. She and Camden will pretend to have a relationship. Only problem is the two can't stand each other.
But when their first date is not the disaster either was expecting it shocks them both. The chemistry these two have sizzles.
Sutton though is holding part of herself back, a secret that she has not shared with anyone. Not even her sister Sabrina who is like her best friend. But secrets have a way of coming out and this one will move you. Not only what she's kept hidden but how Camden steps up big time and is there for her.
Both these girls Sutton and Sabrina are amazing considering there home life was not all that hot. A bitter mother who never lets the girls forget that all men are assholes having been abandoned by their father. But when the past comes back to slap you in the face it does it well.
I loved what Jessica did with Camden. The secondary characters are an absolute amazing group of people. A story that will have you reading non-stop till the finish.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2019I couldn’t wait to read Camden’s story. We met him back in Declan and Tatum’s book, and he was definitely interesting. I loved his story line with Sutton, I really did. And, bonus, we got cameos from all the guys from Civil Corruption, which really made m want to go back and re-read that series. There were two things that turned me off when it came to this book. One was the cover. I always associate the main characters with the people showing on the cover. And I really didn’t like what I was seeing. Second thing was th nicknames. Camden was calling Sutton “cutie”. And it’s cute, but it was so repetitive that it became annoying. And Sutton was calling Camden “honey”, especially when in the throes of passion. Ugh, i didn’t like it at all. And it was also very repetitive. Plus, Sutton’s sister was “honey”-ing Sutton, so I was just over it and totally turned off.
There was also a confusing point to all of it. Sutton’s POV was in first person, but Camden’s was in third. I didn’t like that much. I felt like, pick a person and stick with it. But that’s just a matter of a personal preference I guess.
With all that being said, I have no idea if this is a series because I can’t imagine who else would be getting a book (from the secondary characters), but I am looking forward to Jessica Prince’s next book none the less (devoted fan here).
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2018Camden Knight had me instantly intrigued when we met him in Defile. He was an amazing friend to Tate when she needed one the most and I just knew that once we got to know him on a more personal level that he would be nothing short of amazing. There were so many levels to this character. When we first met him he came across as this good ole' boy who was always laid back and just went with the flow of things. But once we really started to know him there was so much more depth to his character. I found myself eager for the chapters in his POV because I just couldn't get enough of him.
Sutton just plan rocked. From her name to her style to her just amazing personality she was a character I quickly and easily could relate to. Her life hasn't been an easy one and it shows, but once she began to grow more confident and comfortable in her own skin she really started to blossom.
With drops in from characters we already love, The Civil Corruption series, then adding in the craziness that is Sutton's family the banter was off the charts. I laughed, I cried, and I got that heavy weight in my chest that tells me that a book is really hitting me emotionally. I enjoyed every second of this book
- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2020Oh I absolutely loved this book! While a fake relationship is a trope I enjoy I expected more because I've read other Jessica Prince books and her characters always have more. More angst, more strength, more heart. They are
just more.
And this didn't disappoint. I loved it. So much so I kept hoping for one more epilogue. One more page. One more ..something. I just didn't want it to end. So well done.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2021The story line for this book was great and I loved the characters. The criticism that I have for this book would be that the switch in point of view between 1st and 3rd person is very distracting. Pick one pov and stick with it.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2021Would have totally been a five star read if it wasn’t for the graphic sex scene in the beginning of Camden and some random pick up. Jessica Prince writes amazing sex scenes but I HATE when her heroes sleep with OW—or at least when it’s overly described. That pretty much ruined her rock star series for me. I only want to read descriptive sex scenes between the MC’s. Anyway, enough of my rant.
I thought Camden was such a jerk in the beginning but I slowly warmed up to him. I loved Sutton. This story was really well written as usual—I love her writing. I know some readers were put off that Camden’s POV was in third person, but it didn’t bother me at all. I was sucked into this pretty quick—(aside from that first scene with Camden 😉). I loved the way the story played out. The tension was done really well. I really couldn’t put this book down, and I loved the ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2022I liked this book so much better than the civil corruption books. Camden didn't go to other women to have sex on the assumption of getting her out of his head. The story was really good and both characters I liked. A fun read.

What a great book. Loved it from beginning to the end. Sutton and Camden started enemies, to friends to lovers. Some great, humour and family vibes. A fantastic epilogue.

Sutton and Camden's story will have you laughing out loud, shouting and falling in love with all the characters. A brilliant must read story.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good
Enjoyable story. The whole 'cutie', 'sweetie', 'honey' got annoying after a while, but not enough to ruin the book for me.
