About the author

I write action-packed sci-fi and historical fantasy. I want to immerse readers in another time and place and for my stories to be gripping adventures. You should love my complex heroes and hate the twisted bad guys.
If you like the sound of that then check out; GODS OF BRONZE (my new historical fantasy series), THE IMMORTAL KNIGHT CHRONICLES (bestselling historical fantasy) and the GALACTIC ARENA series (smart military scifi).
Thanks for taking an interest in my stories. Follow me here on Amazon to keep up to date with releases.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2019It’s a good series. I didn’t really know how it was going to progress from book 1 to now. I worry that the books are a bit short. Not much is being accomplished in the, what appears to me, to be a potential vast story arc. I really like the main character and hope that other characters will also ‘enjoy’ some long life either next to Rama or at least within the universe the author has created. If the author has no intention of getting to the bottom of the Orb Builders and turning the galaxy(s) on its ear I won’t continue the series. (Hint hint Mr. Davis) Eventually we need to here about increases in ship and weapon technology and the fights for territory and resources outside of the Orb battles. Book 2 did this but like I said earlier it’s turning into a 1 mission per book and that’s just not going to get the reader along the major arc in a timely fashion. I’ve dropped series for doing this type of story telling.
In the end I’ll give it 5 stars for some interesting things about genetics, concepts about galactic fighting arenas and discussion about what makes us us....but it needs to progress and start working on the big arc as well.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2021Well, I just finished the Galactic Arena trilogy. It is sooo friggin good. Dan Davis is one of the best writers of dialogue I've encountered in my, oh, lets say 2 thousand books I've read. These books are extremely clever and engrossing, and I have become a huge fan of him. My advice is too read all of these books and the Vampire books as well, they are all top notch.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2019The tale continues, Rama Seti is charged to get a secret weapon off Earth that is controlled by the Hex. Every nine years the Human Race fights one champion against the other for the right to live on their worlds, lose and your world belongs to them.. Can we win this time, why was Rama woken from hibernation 2 weeks before the challenge. What is the truth, who is telling lies. A rich, well written tale of humanity at its best and worst. Loved It!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2020What a great book. Dan Davis has a deal talent for setting the stage and writing some great action. This series is truly underrated and is much, much better than most of the sci-fi available. Great concept, original and I really hope there is more to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another outstanding sci-fi novel from Dan Davis.
I've just finished reading Outpost Omega and can honestly say this series of sci-fi novels keep getting better and better. Dan Davis has deliveredered another outstanding adventure for Rama Seti with plenty of plot twists along the way.
I loved so many aspects from the book from the witty banter between characters, the fast paced blistering battle scenes to the more thought provoking facets of the book such as how religion impacts on personal beliefs depending on circumstances and how humankind can have propensity to enforce their beliefs onto others and that if one religion is good then the other must be evil.
Can't wait for the next Rama Seti adventure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good story
This third book seems to jump a story from book 2, ie the earth has been conquered by a nasty race called the Hex and our hero is going back to retrieve a weapon. However, it certainly holds your interest.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Glorious Return for Rama Seti
Only in a Dan Davis novel could you be reading about a distant futuristic world and still receive a small history lesson! A unique blend of futuristic technology and historic architecture combine before we learn the crew's fate and the decisions they must make in trying to protect the earth. Absolutely loved this, it's well paced, the characters felt real and I learned something. What more can you ask?

4.0 out of 5 stars Love the story of ram , but a little preadictical and seemed a little rushed at the end
Not bad but I felt that Ram's character was a bit rushed when he was in Henry's body and felt that I'd missed his training and development . However still a good read , and I'm sure there is another orb fight left in the Ramaseti body .

5.0 out of 5 stars Has this series peaked ?
I don’t think so, well written Sci-if with a human twist, larger than life characters and a “just one more chapter” vibe
If you read the rest of the series you’re in for a treat
