- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2019What happens when you get Survivor and Walking Dead together in a room? They make a baby, and Outwit is that baby. Just better!!
I absolutely loved this book. Finished it in a couple of hours, not because that was my intention, but because I couldn't puy it down! It was firmly glued to my hands, and that was that.
Roller-coaster ride, with likeable characters and non-stop action!
If you want to read something fun, exciting and suspenseful ... pick this one up, but be warned, when you do ... you will have to finish it!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2019This was quite an entertaining story! I meant to read this over several evenings to relax before bed...... needless to say I started reading it at 7pm and by 11 I had gone through the whole book! The best way I can describe this is if Survivor, The Walking Dead, and Z Nation had a baby. This is one of the single most entertaining books that I have read in a while, definitely broke the reading ennui! Love it!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2019This story is a really fun and fabulous introduction to zombies. It is very entertaining and really engaging- I was enjoying it so much I just had to finish it in one session of binge reading. The characters are well written, and i really felt that they were ‘real’. I can thoroughly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys reading a complex story, with a good plot, loosely based on a reality TV program. Even if you don’t usually like zombies this book will get you in.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2019It was really entertaining. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was a good read. This was my first read of this type of genre so I was surprised (and glad) the gore wasn’t over the top. Good character development and how they dealt with situation. Overall I’d recommend this one.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2019What is popular on TV at the moment is reality TV, in fact, whilst I was reading this book, I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of here had started on the TV. This story follows a group of regular folk whilst they are marooned on an island, whilst unbeknown to them, the walking dead are taking over the mainland.
As it was a small group on the island, we learnt about each character in depth, they all had individual traits and all had an important role to play in their survival. But they are not alone trying to survive, and you are able to read the other survivors’ stories. As in all of these stories, you will have your favourites and you want some characters to be zombie food.
I am not going to say much about the zombies except it was a refreshing change to not have the moaning stumbling kind slowly ambling around.
This was a quick read mainly because I couldn’t put it down and I was disappointed that I had finished it. There is a slight cliff-hanger and I hope that I don’t have to wait too long to find out who had survived.
If you want to introduce someone to the zombie genre than this is a good book to choose.
