    I have been waiting for Drew Ryan’s HEA since he was first introduced in the Hot Cakes series and this story did not disappoint. Drew and Rory’s crazy unexpected whirlwind romance was as sweet and yummy as frosted Christmas cookies. Drew lives in Appleby, Iowa where he runs an alpaca farm with his brother and cousin. He’s a good guy and has been waiting to find the “one” but has started to give up hope. He decides to take a Christmas vacation in small town Autre, Louisiana and have a hot fling with a bayou girl. Rory wants a family and community more than anything and she chose to live in Autre for that reason. She also is looking for the “one” but definitely not a fling with a guy who lives thousand of miles away. But fate, the magic of small towns, the craziness of the bayou, and the beautiful words of the author have other plans. The story has plenty of hilarity (I mean crazy goats and voting on Santa), steamy scenes, sweet moments, family support, and small town goodness with a small bit of angst. Like all the books in this series, it is filled with loud, larger than life bayou characters and situations, simmering and overwhelming feelings, and so many cute animals. Plus who doesn’t love a good swoony Christmas romance.

    This is Drew Ryan and Rory Robbins story. We met Drew in the Hot Cakes Series but you don't have to have read it in order to enjoy this book. Drew is an Iowa farmer who is delivering reindeer to the Boys of the Bayou Wildlife Sanctuary for Christmas. He runs into Rory who is trying to set up Santa's Workshop all by herself to prove to the Landry's that they can trust her in their business. Drew is only looking for a hot hookup while he's in the bayou and Rory definitely isn't a one time fling type of girl. Rory is looking for someone who's staying in Autre who has a drawl and Drew certainly isn't that guy. When Rory's con of a father finds her there, he steals the toys meant for the children. He tells her that in order to get them back, he wants money that she doesn't have. Drew is drawn to Rory and is trying to help her without the Landry's knowing. There are a lot of situations to overcome but Erin Nicholas writes them with humor and heart. Will Drew and Rory be able to save Christmas for the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild? This is a great short story. At the end, we are teased with the next book and it looks to be wonderful, too. I received an advanced copy of the book to read early and I'm leaving my honest review. I also have purchased my own copy.

    Drew and Rory met when Drew came down from Iowa to deliver reindeer for the Christmas Village at the petting zoo. Rory was trying to herd the goats back to the barn and take the handmade antlers off of them since they now had real reindeer. She was having problems because we all know and love the goats. Drew saw her using a giant candy cane to catch them and it wasn't working, so if course, he went over to help. He loved the way she was dressed, in a too small elf costume and thigh high candy cane stockings that were doing all kinds of things for him! For some reason, she started telling him the story of her life. Drew was a good guy, but while he was visiting Autre for the week, he didn't want to be anyone's good guy. He wanted to find a hot Cajun girl to have a hot time with for the week. He saw Rory as someone he was crazy attracted to, but she needed a good guy! He wanted to stay away until he couldn't anymore. You have to read their story for yourself! She might need a good guy, but is she also the naughty girl he was looking for too? Follow their story in this great book by Erin Nichols! I loved it from start to finish! I promise you will too! I highly recommend this book!

    I LOVE Autre! This town just gets getting better and better!

    Reindeer, goats disguised as Reindeer, snow cones at Christmas, a sexy man from Iowa, and a woman who wants to settle down. What's not to love??

    Drew, on his way south from Iowa to bring some Reindeer for the Boys of the Bayou Santa's Village at the animal park. He just wants to drop the Reindeer for their stay and then get a little Southern lovin' while he's in Autre.

    Rory, volunteering way over her head so she can feel the Landry and Autre love! She wouldn't say no to Drew, but he's not interested in someone who wants a Louisiana boy, or is he?

    Throw in the shenanigans that seem to be part and parcel of Autre, the Landry family (Ellie I LOVE you), and once again, Erin Nicholas has given her readers a fabulous story! This book is part of the Boys of the Bayou series, but can certainly be read as a standalone...but...why do that when you can have so much fun reading the whole series!! I can't wait for more stories set in this bayou town.

Drew “F’ing” Ryan (Hot Cakes series) heads to Autre, LA to deliver reindeer for a Christmas at the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild and maybe get a little naughty with a bayou girl. Of course, he meets Rory, whose sweet and beautiful and needs some help. What’s a nice Iowa farm boy to do? In a short span of time, we get to really know the main characters, Drew and Rory, while they meet, get ‘acquainted’, fall in love, resolve outstanding family issues, and head toward their HEA! If you’re like me, you’re so excited Drew finally gets his happy ending! If not, once you read Head Over Hooves, you’ll become an Erin Fan and want to go back and read EVERYTHING she’s written.

    But also, in this wonderful addition to the BOTBGW series you’ll get to know (or see again) the wonderfully crazy Landry family. They work hard, love hard (and over the top), and will support each other to the end. Just the friends and family everyone loves and wants.

    I love everything this author has written and can’t wait to see what comes next. Try Head Over Hooves, you’ll be an Erin Superfan before you finish!

    Another fun trip to Autre, this time with a Christmas vibe!!

    I must admit, when we met Mr Ryan in the Hot Cakes series I wasn’t a fan of his at first…. but over time Erin has made me do a complete 180 on my feelings and I really liked him in Head Over Hooves.

    He’s a fixer, can’t help but step in and help kinda guy (like an Iowa Mitch Landry!!) but he’s in Autre for a little fun and time away from responsibilities and is determined to not be ‘that guy’ for the time he’s there!! Until he runs into Rory!!!!

    Rory Robbins, I loved her. Like Drew, she’s always there ready and willing to step in and help out, even though she’s got enough responsibilities of her own to get dealing with. The day she meets Drew she’s running around in a little dress that’s more skimpy sexy naughty elf than Santa’s little helper!!

    Much as Drew is looking for a quick hot hookup, the draw between them is instant but they are looking for completely different things…. Or are they?!!?

    Rory’s - absent until it suits him and not adverse to blackmailing his daughter to his benefit - father turns up and seriously puts a spanner in her plans for a settled life and a place in the Landry ‘family’ but for once it would appear she might not have to deal with him alone!!

    I loved the laughs, heat, sense of family and belonging - that always comes with a visit to Autre - and all the nonsense that ensues when the Landry’s are involved. Rory & Drew were awesome together and I’m looking forward to catching up with them - and all the other crazy Cajun’s as the series continues.

    Can’t wait for what Ms Nicholas has for us next!!!
