If I could choose one person in Denver to tattoo anything they wanted on me it would be Beckett Banks, owner of Banks Ink.. So, when my best friend and coworker has the in for an appointment, I don’t hesitate to go and be her emotional support. Did I have an ulterior motive? Yeah, a little, but my friend is still my first priority.

Beckett may be hotter than any guy I’ve ever met, but he’s kind of a dick, which is all the more obvious considering how nice everyone else in the shop is. Nice and maybe a little flirty. I may have been stalking Beckett’s social media for a while, but that doesn’t mean I’ll allow a guy to be a dick to me. Not again.

He may have apologized, but I can hold a grudge and I’m not going to let my heart get stomped all over. I learned my lesson and now I know how to protect myself. I guess I’ll have to work harder at that now that his friends are conspiring to get us in the same room together. If only he didn’t look so sincere when he apologizes for his behavior, I would have a better chance of keeping my promise to myself and not give my heart away to the talented, sexy and tattooed Beckett Banks.

The day I meet Amelia started out awful, but when I heard her laugh outside my shop, I knew in that moment that she’s the one for me. I shouldn’t have let my past get the better of me. My ex may have been a cheater, but that doesn’t mean that Amelia will be too. She’s gorgeous and sweet, kind and thoughtful. Still, she was flirting with two of my best friends; well, I think she was flirting and it brought up all my doubts and fears.

    This was my first book by Ember Davis and I have to say how over the moon I am that I took a chance on a new author! Ms Davis has a conversational style, the characters are telling you their tale as it happens. It enables you to feel close to the characters, like you are friends already. The characters are distinct, even the secondary ones but they don't overwhelm the main characters. Beckett has been going through the motions, lonely and closed off. Its hard to trust when you have been betrayed before. When Amelia comes into his tattoo shop with her friend, he is attracted to her but its the last thing he wants. So he opens his mouth and inserts foot and crams it down his throat. She doesn't just take it, she shoves it right back at him. Now he has to try and convince her that he wasn't the raging jerk he appeared to be. Luckily, his friends have his back and help him get the opportunity to apologize and hopefully get another chance. I have to say, I loved it. I loved it so much I immediately went and purchased them all when I reached the end. I highly recommend you check out Ember Davis!

    Looking for new authors to try, I found this advertised on instagram. To be honest, i was not a fan of them smoking pot in the tw. Turns out it's not a huge plot point and it's responsible use. This story was so wonderful and i loved the dual pov. I especially loved the epilogues and will immediately dive into the rest of the series. I read the entire book in one sitting. It made my heart happy and the characters are all so loveable in their own ways. No cheating or ow drama.

    I discovered this series from Stranger Photo series that intertwined the characters and I am in love. Beckett Banks and his “family” from the Banks Inc are so swoon worthy. This first book of the series is about Beckett but it you also get a peek of the other characters as they are a close and I wouldn’t have it any other way. They bring life to the storyline with great friendship that goes beyond that with laughter, fun and love. I enjoyed the easy to read storyline that kept me entertained from start to finish and talk about the delicious heat level between Amelia and Beckett. I can’t wIt to discover that other characters in this definitely must read series.

    Ms. Davis has such an awesome grasp on what everyone wants in a relationship and what it truly means to be in love! Her writing skills and imagination and her way of building stories suck you in so quickly, I find it hard to put her books down and finish them in one sitting!
    I’ve read several of her books, but this one just grabbed me! Beckett and Amelia fought for the family they made, and I wish that the real world could be more like their fictional world!
