4.4 out of 5 stars 306 ratings

You never forget your first love …

That’s what they say, right? And in Hannah's experience, it’s painfully true.

Matt Schwartz was her first, and it’s not an understatement to say he ruined her for other guys. But she need to get over him once and for all, and here’s why:

- He promised to stay in touch and didn’t after the summer they spent together years ago.
- He’s already graduated, so it’s not like she'll see him on campus.

And here’s the real kicker …

-When she does finally come face to face with him, he doesn’t even seem to recognize her.

But when it turns out he does ... any chance she had of getting over him goes out the window.

Will he break her heart again?

Or will their second chance be everything her tender teenage heart hoped for when they parted ways the first time?

If you love second chance romances, nice guys with a hidden dominant side, and strong women who stand up for what they believe in, grab Always You today!

    Managed Hearts by Jerica MacMillan
    Rated 4 stars

This is a great book. I enjoy seeing all the previous characters show up and add to the story. I kinda struggled with Matt. He is a super nice guy but he has an attitude that peeks out sometimes. I understand the problem he had and how he wanted two things and hoped one wouldn’t impact the other. Hannah really didn’t do much for me. I thought she was just “there”. Nothing spectacular. At times she seemed very harsh on her reactions to Matt. I know these are twenty somethings and they are highly emotional about things.
Now I did enjoy quite a few different scenes between the characters. The modeling scene...I just knew just what was going to happen. But I thoroughly enjoyed one character's response! Chris and Megan...well Megan was a great supporting character during this book.
One of the things I enjoy about these books are the males point of view. Just now Matt is banging his head against the wall because he thought he stood staring at Hannah “like a moron” with no words spoken from either. He is sayin “Smooth Matt” in his head. That brings a smile to my face knowing that woman aren’t the only ones nervous about the opposite sex.
This is not my first book by this author. I enjoy her writing style. It’s very engaging and keeps me interested so I will continue to enjoy this series.

Managed Hearts (Players of Marycliff University Book 3)
    By: Jerica MacMillan
    5 out of 5 stars

The story Managed Hearts (Players of Marycliff University Book 3) by Jerica MacMillan is a new adult/romance book. This is a wonderful story that I loved reading. This is a book about two people who get a second chance at love. When reading Matt and Hannah’s story I could tell that they were meant for each other. Even with them not seeing or hearing from one another for a while it became clear that they still have feelings for each other. This doesn’t mean that their journey to a happy ending will be a smooth one. There are issues of trust that must be addressed and also the fact that they both work for the same company with Matt being Hannah’s manager. Can Hannah and Matt work through the challenges that are now before them so that they can have their happy ending or will the hurdles that they face be too large to overcome causing them to lose their second chance at love? This story also has wonderful secondary characters that cross over from the previous two books. They are friends with Matt and quickly accept Hannah and bring her into their group. Matt is a character that shows himself to be different. He is not the constant one-night-stand type of guy as some of his friends were. He is more of a person who wants a relationship. He is also a person who does what is expected of him. Fears hold him back when it comes to dreams that he has. Can he overcome these fears? Amazing stories and awesome characters can be the only way to describe the series that the author has written. The emotions that I feel when reading her stories are at times deep and very real. This is the third book in the series and I can’t wait to read the next one. I know that when I pick up a story she has written that I won’t be disappointed. This book does have adult situations. Matt and Hannah’s story is red hot and very steamy. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.

This story has a little more angst than the previous books but I still enjoyed it immensely. Another good rainy day read!

What a delightfully dirty and spanking hot second chance NA romance! My new unputdownable read! Lots of sexy times and angsty hotness! Matt makes my heart go ka-swoop! Imperfectly perfect and so damn swoony in that laid back surfer dude way but with a bad boy edgy side ...Hannah seems like the sweet girl next door, but she's a smart, vivacious spitfire who loves 'Matt The Caveman' between the sheets, and no one else will do...Together they have a one of a kind sexy making-up-for-lost-time chemistry, butting heads one minute, then lips and hands all over each other the next. It's romantically fun and sort of forbidden, but that's what makes all the secret love-fests even more sweeter! ...This is a Really Hot Gotta-Read!

This is yet another good read by this author. A good storyline to continue the series. I liked how Hannah did not beat around the bush in regards to getting with Matthew from the beginning once they determined they remembered one another.

When have we not been afraid to tackle something until there is more to lose? This struggle was beautifully presented for Matt n Hannah. The story is well written, the characters lovable and relatable. I am so enjoying this series. Third book and counting :)

Hanna meets Matt when she is on summer break and they have two months of being together. She thought they were a couple but the minute the summer is offer he ghosts her leaving her feeling stupid that she gave him everything. Three year later she walks into her new job as an intern and he is one of the managers. She tries to avoid him and he is determined to let her know how sorry he was. The general story is okay although not much goes on. Just didnt think it was strong enough. And the authors sex scenes descriptions were a bit cringe worthy....Matts seeming obsession with spanking her and who uses the word buttocks...crikey!
