    I loved reading this wonderful story. When I opened up this book was not sure what to expect cause I usually do not read this type of story. I am so glad I read this story. This story has Danger,Intrigue, romance and adventure with a lot of other amzing things going on threw the whole story. I highly recommend this story for anyone who loves a wonderful story to read.

    it's a decent read; but after reading some other stories by gaja this book just didn't hold to the standards I've gotten use to.

    Paradise of Shadows and Devotion is a mermaid romance suspense novel. Liana is living life on land working as an ice cream girl. She enjoys her job, but she has to be careful. She hopes that she can be safe on land from her sisters, but the clock is ticking on the peacefulness of her life. When a PI shows up one day she knows without a shadow of a doubt that he is there for her. She's being hunted. Her handsome Italian boss offers to help her. He's drawn to her. But he has secrets of his own. Can she survive what is coming for her? Will her boss's secrets destroy the potential relationship they have growing?
    The idea for this story is a good one, but I feel that it takes time to get going. For me, this story starts out slow and seems to have trouble getting up steam. There are engaging moments in the book, but it ebbs and flows like the tide. When it's engaging it's really engaging, but when the story slows down I begin to slip in interest. I love the differing stories. I loved Liana's story of how she became what she is. This totally hooked me in because it was unexpected.
    I like this story, but I just feel that it could use a bit of kick. With most books I read, I want the story to hook me from the beginning and keep me engaged from start to finish. I like the layers in this story. They are well done but could use some blending to help bring it all together.
    I am rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. This is a truly unique mermaid story, but I wanted more.

    Everyone has secrets, but some have secrets that kill. Liana is a mermaid with a deadly secret, hiding from her family in a small villa on the coast, selling ice cream in a cafe owned by Santino, a cheerful guy full of secrets of his own. Despite everything Liana trusts him, and the only thing that bugged me was Santino not trusting her with his secret when se told him hers, even if I understand his reasons. Great story arc, plenty of happy moments even if the situation is dire, plenty of magic too. Although it is somewhat set in a bigger series, it can be read as stand alone, you'll just want to read the rest of the books set in this world after.

    This one was tough for me. The actual outline of the plot did capture my interest. It was the actual getting there that was trying for me personally. Let me concentrate on what I feel other readers would like to know is wonderful for them. This author truly has a mastery with descriptive phrases. The erotica is quite thorough and should fulfill any erotica readers desires ( unless you have specific needs). The romance scenes are quite stellar. I feel that if this authors target audience is pure romance with tasteful erotica, then she nailed it with perfection. I am a storyline, give me action scenes to keep me reading and steamy is nice but not necessary type of reader so, just because it’s not my craving does not mean others won’t absolutely love this. This review has been voluntarily written.

    This is an awesome romantic mermaid tale filled with danger, action, betrayal, revenge and some rather hot and sexy scenes! A fab storyline, fab characters, all in all a fab paranormal romance.
