Painfully Attractive (Love and Care Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 457 ratings

Wren has contemplated the fine line between pleasure and pain for years, but when he finally gets up the nerve to make his fantasies reality, things go terribly wrong. His father’s best friend, Leo, comes to his rescue, and Wren knows instantly that Leo is the perfect person to introduce him to the world he longs to explore.

Leo has never met Wren before, and once he realizes who Wren is, he vows not to touch him again. Leo knows Wren’s father won’t approve of their relationship, especially considering the edgy play Leo enjoys. Leo values that friendship too much to risk it, but walking away from Wren isn’t easy. There’s a lot more between Wren and Leo than lust. They’re pulled toward one another despite the trouble their relationship could cause. Ultimately, they give into their desire and begin seeing each other in secret.

The more they explore, the more obvious it becomes that Wren can take everything Leo wants to give, no matter how kinky or intense. They are a perfect fit in bed and out. Neither of them wants to keep hiding their relationship, but they both worry that once Wren’s father knows about them, staying together will be too difficult. In order to make things work, they’ll both have to believe in the power of love.

Silvia Violet writes bad boy M/M romance. She can be found haunting coffee shops looking for the darkest, strongest cup of coffee she can find. Once equipped with the needed fuel, she can happily sit for hours pounding away at her laptop. Silvia typically leaves home disguised as a suburban stay-at-home-mom, and other coffee shop patrons tend to ask her hilarious questions like "Do you write children's books?" She loves watching the looks on their faces when they learn what she's actually up to. When not writing, Silvia enjoys baking sinfully delicious treats, exploring new styles of cooking, and reading to her incorrigible offspring.

Exquisite relationship between two men; a Dom who can give his sub what he needs, and with that need fulfilled, gives the Dom what his own needs require. A perfect, thrilling BDSM senario. Leo and Wren.
Older Leo, BDSM Club owner, a certified teacher, counselor, etc. we have met in previous books.
Younger Wren, college student was attacked (previously) and rescued in time and taken to safety. Then, Leo is called to help "Will" aka Wren. In that help, a deal is struck so Wren could find the true guidance he needed, but when Wren reveals his true identity, Leo says "no." With long, intense conversations and magnificent attraction, they reset their bargain.
We get to see BDSM perfection in action. Proper talks, conscent, reassurance, before and after care, plus satisfaction for both guys. We can feel their deep passion; it's exciting, with extreme sex scenes, and we watch the bond grow.
This is a terrific, well written tale of finding trust, peace and happiness for our men. There is hardcore BDSM, with restraints, needle play, electric wand use, edging, spanking, paddles, crops and caning. All of which are portrayed with sane and conscentual play.
We learn as we watch the displays. Their secret play and relationship is revealed badly and we have tense moments. Then, there are more talks.
I've loved Leo through this whole Silvia Violet series and Wren is a fantastic character with backbone.
    A beautiful story.
    Highly recommended. ENJOY !

This author could go for the cliche so many different times, but they never do. There's always enough of a twist or shift from the cliche that not only do I enjoy what happens but I also feel rewarded that the author didn't insult my intelligence. This book does end rather abruptly, but it seems the others in the series ended that way, too, so maybe that's just her style.

I loved Wren and how confident he was about what he wanted. And Leo is such a decent guy! Their scenes are incredibly hot! There is pain play in this book, including playing with needles, fyi. We do get to see characters from earlier books in the series as well.

I can't decide if I love this one as much or more than FotG.

Wren shines in this story and is a wonderful character. He knows what he wants and who he wants it with. He is honest even when he knows it could take away what he wants and ruin more than just his relationship with his father.

Leo is attracted to the new sub that Avery asked him to help. He doesn't learn who the sub is until after a connection has been made. He can't hurt his only family, even if he can't keep the sub off his mind.

These two guys are wonderful together and separately. I am so happy with how the storyline plays out and how they interact together and with the rest of the characters.

I will definitely be reading this book, and the whole series, again.

I received an ARC of this book from LesCourt Author Services. This is my honest opinion and review.

A May-December romantic relationship between Wren & Leo with an added dynamic of BDSM. This story seemed condensed, not fully fleshed out.
In the beginning, Wren is involved in a traumatic incident with a BDSM date gone bad, but it is glossed over. Even during an intense conversation with Graham, his Dad, the issue was never discussed. Also in some scenes Leo is little immature, although he is supposed to be older and wiser.
Overall, story was readable but could have been better.

And I was not disappointed. Wren and Leo were great together, and their chemistry was beautiful. This one had some more intense scenes than the previous books, which, for me was a bonus. I really enjoyed how all of the stories were woven together. All of these were pretty quick novellas, but sometimes I don't have time to devote to a novel and need something quick. This entire series was great. I loved the differences in kinks but the common bond in regard to age gap made the series cohesive. Looking forward to more by this author.

I have devoured this series! Each couple explored their BDSM play with consent yet wrapped in a sensually erotic web of love! Here each Dom pushed their sub beyond their believed limits and both partners were pleasured! This series took me down some unforeseen roads but I enjoyed the journey explored by each couple. Each partner was able to show their vulnerabilities to one another. Leo and Wren had a complicated romance because Wren was the youngest son of Leo’s best friend Graham. There was a time post divorce that Graham has been estranged from all 3 of his kids. Leo became Graham’s only family until Graham reconciled with his children. They had even had sex with one another in the past but soon realized as 2 Doms, friendship was best. Graham knows Leo’s preferences for pain and edgier play. No parent wants to consider the sexual exploits of their children but it takes a moment for Graham to overcome his own hypocrisy and accept this couple. In time, they all come together because both Leo and Wren are truly in love with one another. Graham understands the power of love due to the love he shared with Avery. Avery and Graham found one another at his eldest son Carter’s wedding. Avery is the best friend of Graham’s new daughter-in-law Felicity. I enjoyed this series, devoured it soundly and look forward to reading more titles by this author, Silvia Violet!

I’ve read all the stories in this series and I am so sad that there is no more! You fall in love with each of them along the way! The stories are writing perfectly! Yes it’s a quick love but it’s done in a right way! The stubbles each of them go through are so real and I feel as though it helps to understand how to deal with things like that in real life!

Hope there is a next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best one in the series!
Reviewed in Australia on December 28, 2018
I enjoyed the 3 previous books in this series, but this one was my favourite! There was just something about the connection between Wren and Leo that got to me more than Graham & Avery or Blake & Sean did. There was definitely more of a 'forbidden' theme with them than with the other couples, but their chemistry was also written in a way that I found it more real and balanced.

The scenes between Leo and Wren were hot, and the trust between them showcased well. I loved their chemistry and that it was more than just a D/s relationship between them.

This book was slightly longer than the last, so the storyline was rounded out well, including showing us some more of the HEA for the other couples as well.

Overall a great series even if this one was my fave, and I'll definitely be looking up more of this authors work.

WOW just WOW this series just gets better, I think my kindle exploded as this book was sooo hot!
I love Wren and Leo. One who knows what he wants and one knowing he shouldn't have what he wants but can't resist. Avery was sneaky he knew they would be great together. So glad Graham came down off his high horse.
Always great to catch up with past mc's and hope there is more in the series. Definitely 5 stars I would give more if I could.
