Sadie Bissett has been writing since she was 16 years old. She is a new-to-the-writing-scene hopeful author and has enjoyed writing poetry as a purging of the soul kind of thing. This will be her first published work that's she's held near and dear to her heart, which she's revealing to the light of day.
Sadie has taken those fantasies and daydreams and is in the process of writing them down. Her first book, Finding My Reason, will be soon, letting those characters in her head finally come to life.
Sadie lives way out in the big ol' middle of nowhere, Texas, completely contented with her unbelievably supportive hubs, two wonderful sons, her totally spoiled dogs, one absolutely rotten cat, and a plethora of other pets, all of which the Bissett's call their children.
Elias Raven was born and raised in Los Angeles. He’s an avid reader with a lifelong passion for writing. He’s a storyteller, a poet and a talented musician with an amazing voice. Oh, and let’s not forget an amazing cook!
As a young boy he spent many summers reading classics such as "The Adventures of Sherlock Homes" and "The White Company" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. His creativity was constantly being pushed as he learned more and more about the world around him. His taste in literature spanned from classics to science fiction/fantasy. He expanded his taste devouring everything from William Blake to Milton, Dante, Baudelaire, Arthur Rimbaud, T.S. Elliot, Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, Khalil Gibran, William Carlos Williams, Ezra Pound, Paul Verlaine, Walt Whitman, Alan Ginsburg, Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Carl Sandburg, Dylan Thomas, and Jim Morrison. These inspirations and his sheer love for reading had him take pen to paper around the age of 20.
Did I mention he’s a Musician? ...You can often find him playing his guitars (both electric and acoustic) and keyboards and singing (4 octave ranges) in his home studio. He’s a classically trained music aficionado -trained early on by Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, Hayden, Liszt, as well as Big Band, Jazz and Rag Time. Spending time with his father at the Los Angeles Philharmonic; experiencing his first orchestra concert at the age of 9.
Elias the Gourmet Cook…Oh My!...His Japanese mother and grandmother trained him very well in fine culinary skills both in cooking and food appreciation from all over the world such as Italian, Indian, Moroccan, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Hawaiian, Pilipino, Greek, and Polish.
When Elias is not reading, writing, composing music or cooking…he can be found listening to music, playing games, hanging out with his kids. He enjoys going to concerts, going on culinary adventures, sightseeing, spending the day at the beach or in the mountains…just doing something adventurous!
Hello, I am a mother of two, currently residing in Toronto, Ontario. I am a poetess and a writer. I have two poems featured in Author Poet, Elias Raven’s book titled; “The Painted Shadows”. Recently, I published my own collection of poetry titled; “Love Undone.” I’m happy to be included with the other very talented poets in this book, as well, written by my friend Author Poet, Sharon Johnson. Warrior Women Poetry 2016 was published May 16 2016, a compilation of women authors who joined with me in creating prose to uplift and inspire other women.
Bridget is being published August 2016 and am currently working on Bridget's Reflection...
I really have a secret addiction to zombie movies, books and subtitled horror movies, "The Walking Dead" is one of my favorite series of all times, and when I am not searching for new zombie or horror movies, I love anything to do with Egypt or Greece....
Paulie Dee is a native New Yorker that now lives in North Carolina. Writing poetry was something that occurred by chance when she joined a group that was for writers, thinking that she would be just a spectator. During a writing challenge she decided to participate and the rest is history.
During her spare time, Paulie enjoys writing poetry about pictures she or her close friends find. Then she gives them the story for others to enjoy. She loves spending time with her family and if it happens to include a dinner out...even better!
Born and raised in a broken and reassembled home yet spent many seasons transplanted with other relatives and friends. Creativity became a coping mechanism and went dormant for much of my adult life. A series of unfortunate and tragic events led to the need for an outlet. I began writing poetry for the first time just to present and validate my emotions in early 2014. Ever since and through the process of posting more than 400 pieces to IG and FB, I believe I'm finding my own unique way to express our deep and heartfelt experiences. I continue to be driven simply by the idea that sharing these can bring understanding to our otherwise secret pain.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2016What I have always loved about poetry is it's ability to allow another heart to transfuse yours. Another perspective, of the cracks or canyons, to shift our own landscape. Elias Raven's poetry along with his guests point out the necessity of hope, the beauty that lies in wait: under the bed covers or within a rainy day. He reminds us that passion is possible, and to always see with wonder and gentle eyes. Buy this poetry book, and fall into a beautiful world, that shimmers through the author's hearty words.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2015I have always thought poetry was a author's way of so eloquently describing the emotions that I could not quite find a way to express at times.
Elias Raven and all the poets here have that rare gift of evoking just the right set to bring life to those feelings.
From the heights and depths of the soul. Each one is a word picture of your thoughts.
I highly recommend you take the time to read these poems and maybe see yourself in a few of them.
Well done to Elias and all the other talented authors collected here.
